To answer the question that was posed in another thread: No, it's not the highest finish by an Australian ever - Anthony Liu finished 4th at one of his GPs back in 2001-2002 season. Which was the last time we had a man on the GP, also.

Loved his LP.

Although I do wish it didn't have vocals in the end. It was so good when it was instrumental in the earlier part.

That would be me, and thank you. Anthony Liu skated when I was not following skating, but didn't I read somewhere that Kori coached him at one point?
Anyway, congrats to Brendan, and I hope he gets another GP somehow to add to his slay count.

Although I do wish it didn't have vocals in the end. It was so good when it was instrumental in the earlier part.

Oh really? I like when the lyrics kick in.

Fun Brendan fact: There are actually three different versions of Secrets that make up his LP. The violin at the start, the piano in the middle, and then the lyrical original at the end.

That would be me, and thank you. Anthony Liu skated when I was not following skating, but didn't I read somewhere that Kori coached him at one point?
Anyway, congrats to Brendan, and I hope he gets another GP somehow to add to his slay count.

Might've been. I don't remember. He was done by 2002 so it was a long time ago.

I was hoping for Skate Canada after Liebers withdrew, but Skate Canada must have forseen that his slay count would be so big at Skate America cos they didn't pick him. I hope he can jag another one too, preferably CoC or TEB. Wouldn't want any later than that or it would affect his performances at Nationals :drama:

Well, not a good night for Brendan last night. Popped the quad, barely made the 3A and hand down on the 3Lz - but he did add the 2T.

Hoping tonight is better for him!

Video of British Eurosport commentary. The upside is that everyone seemed to like him. Snow63 kindly translated some of the Russian commentary and it seems they liked him too - Tarasova called him a "good boy" and liked his spins. Both sets of commentators were simply impressed that he got the 2T on the end of the 3Lz.

golden? did you change your name again?

I like it cautiously, but it's a ballsy move. Though I'm not big on skaters "owning" music...this music is always linked with one iconic program. It's going to have to be really, really good.

PBP from Lenny318 (thankyou!) from Glacier Falls

4T (fall), 3S-2T (Rippon), 3A - Singin' in the Rain (as we already knew).

The combo stands out for me. This is the signpost. He's going for a two quad short!
