I made myself a schedule for Skate Canada. I looked for live broadcasting through either Eurosport 2 or the ISU live stream available with the Eurosport player. Maybe this is somehow useful to anybody else (times are CET)
(and I don't know what happens at 3AM and why they start a new stream, but that's how I found it in the online schedule)

Please be aware that the times were taken from the German Eurosport site, so they might not match the live broadcasts of other countries. Please check before you rely on my timetable. The times of the live stream should probably match, though. The starting times of the actual competitions should not be affected by us being in different time zones.

Thanks! I am interested to see if the Eurosport Player "ISU" channel/stream has commentary, same as the live broadcast on Eurosport 2. And if so, will there also be ad breaks in the stream, same as the broadcast?

It would be cool if I could have the commentary... but no ad breaks!
I might even put up with the 720p Player vs the 1080p broadcast for that :-D

Although the above schedule only lists TSN and CTV, on my TV schedule there's a couple of differences: The MSP and PSP on Friday is listed on TSN2 (not TSN) and the FD on Saturday is listed on TSN4 (not TSN).

I used the CBC stream to view Skate America. Will the stream not be broadcasting Skate Canada? I don't see it on their schedule.

CTV has Canadian broadcast rights to Canadian Nationals and Skate Canada. CBC has rights for international competitions (Grand Prix, 4CC, Europeans, worlds) but not Skate Canada. I used to prefer CTV coverage because they had more hours of coverage, utilizing TSN. But recently CBC has been better because of their extensive live streaming.

Thanks for the info! The stream worked well for me and it was so enjoyable to watch without commentators. It is too bad they won't have it up for SC. Do you know if CTV/TSN will be showing any coverage online?

I've never seen any CTV streaming or full videos. If you find them. please post deals here. I just set my DVR and found, like Skate97, that some of the programs are not on "my" TSN.

There I was thinking I was being clever last week, adding in the Hungarian and Italian versions of Eurosport, and grouping them with the Dutch version because their schedules were the same.

Well, they’re not the same this week!

Consequently, it took me a lot longer to make out the schedule this week! So, apologies.

The Hungarian version in particular is not showing as much skating as the others. They are not showing ANY LIVE skating on Friday. So, no Short Dance or Ladies Short. However, they are showing the Men’s Short, although that is on Saturday morning in Europe.

Oh, and it is not just the Ladies Short the Hungarians are not showing LIVE – they are not showing the Ladies Free LIVE either!

Due to the times in Europe, none of the Eurosport TV channels are showing the final competitions of each day. That is the Pairs Short on Saturday morning and the Men’s Free on Sunday morning.

Eurosport’s TV channels are not showing the Gala LIVE either. And there are not proper programme descriptions for most of the programmes that are on during the following week. So, the Gala might be in there. I just don’t know!

However, EVERYTHING is being shown LIVE on the Eurosport Player. Although, having gone through the schedules for it at the same time as I went through the schedules for the Eurosport TV channels, the times don’t tally with each other!

So I don’t know!

I give up :sarcasm: apparently I might wanna make a note that my schedule is only valid for German Eurosport.

But everything should be available through the live stream, I guess. If you look at my schedule, the times don't match 100% either. But I've only taken from Eurosport 2 what is marked as "live". And I assume the live stream is going to be, ehrm, live. I guess the times just don't match because the live stream won't have commercials or other breaks? And the TV program often has 15 minutes of funny sports clips or whatever that is between two segments. And during longer breaks, the stream continues to run but doesn't actually show any program. But I'm only guessing here.

Yes, looking at the CTV site it appears they stream entertainment videos(eg Gotham, Blindspot, Amazing Race Canada), but I did not see any streaming info for Skate Canada.:disapp:
