Keegan Messing is a Men's Singles skater who represents Canada. He was born on 23rd January 1992 in Girdwood, Alaska, USA.

Keegan started skating at age 3 after watching Elvis Stojko in the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. He formerly skated for the United States and holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States (his mother is Canadian).

Representing Canada, he competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, and has appeared at the World Championships. He is also the 2023 Four Continents silver medalist, the 2018 Nebelhorn Trophy champion and the 2018 GP Skate Canada silver medalist. At the domestic level, he is the 2022 and 2023 Canadian national champion and a three-time Canadian national medalist.

Previously, representing the United States, he was the two-time International Cup of Nice champion (2011, 2012) and the 2012 Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medalist. He placed fourth at the 2010 World Junior Championships.

He trains in Anchorage, Alaska and is coached by Ralph Burghart. His current choreographer is Lance Vipond. Messing previously competed in pairs with Ellie Gottstein.

Whenever my husband and I watch Keegan's fast and well-centered spins on TV, my hubby clapps his hands hard :clap: and my jaws :jaw:, then, i dont know why but we somehow start laughing! :biggrin: He's such a joy to watch. Also love seeing him and his coaches in the KnC. Goooo Keegan!

Such a nice start of the season, hopefully getting onto the podium along with the two world champoins will give him a confidence boost as he prepares for the Nationals then to join the team for the Oly Games. :yes:

I just watched Keegan's programs from Autumn Classic an was pretty impressed with him! It's not often you see a skater do a "carefree" program à la Singing In The Rain or "comical" à la Chaplin as successfully as Keegan just did.
The guy's a true performer. :clapper:
