Just popping in here to let you know that Amani will be appearing on ITV's morning magazine show "This Morning" tomorrow with former "Coronation Street" actor Ryan Thomas (he played Eileen Grimshaw's son, Jason), who she will be partnering on this year's series of "Dancing On Ice".

Tuesday 9th January 2024 (all times GMT)
ITV1 10:00 – 12:30 "This Morning"

I have no idea when exactly during the programme they will be appearing. It has been donkey's years since I last watched "This Morning" (I think the last time was when Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan were presenting, and they left in 2001! :drama: ) but I know years ago they would give a schedule of what was coming up at the start of the show. So, assuming they still do, it might be a good idea to watch the start of the programme to find out when they will be on, and then go off and do something else until then.

EDIT: They will be on at 11:40 GMT.

EDIT 2: Here is the video of the interview, on the "This Morning" YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erHk4qi4fQw

This will be Amani's first time taking part in "Dancing On Ice", which starts this Sunday.

Sunday 14th January 2024 (all times GMT)
ITV1 18:30 – 20:00 "Dancing On Ice" Series 16 Episode 1

I have never been interested in the series, so don't worry, I won't be constantly posting in this thread about how they are getting on. But, since I interited this thread, I thought I should at least let you know.

(After finding out out Amani was going to be on "Dancing On Ice", I hoped to give this thread a refresh before the series started. But dealing with spam on Facebook put paid to that. I'll try to get it done as soon as possible, though).

:cheer: ALL THE BEST AMANI AND RYAN!!! :cheer:

Just read that "Dancing On Ice" finished last night, so thought I should share the result with you:

AMANI AND RYAN WON THE SERIES!!!

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Amani Fancy (GBR) and "Coronation Street" actor Ryan Thomas finished 1st out of 3 in the Final, after getting a perfect 10 from each of the four Judges.

The 🥈 Silver Medallists were Vanessa Bauer (DEU) and "Made In Chelsea" cast member Miles Nazaire, who got 9.5 from each of the four Judges.

The 🥉 Bronze Medallists were radio presenter Adele Roberts and Mark Hanretty (GBR), who, like Amani and Ryan, also got a perfect 10 from each of the four Judges.

There were supposed to be four partnerships taking part, but Vanessa James (CAN) and long jumper Greg Rutherford had to withdraw before the Final after Greg got injured in training.

I didn't realise this until I watched the interview on "This Morning" that Amani and Ryan did a few days before the series started, but, although this was Amani's first time doing "Dancing On Ice", she had done both of the 2019 series of the German version. In Series 4, she partnered actor Timur Bartels, but they had to withdraw from the Semi-Final due to a family issue for Timur. In Series 5, she partnered actor Eric Stehfest, and they won!

Anyway, here is a video of another interview they did before the series started, this time for the BBC's listings magazine, the "Radio Times":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXYegGeJKDQ

And here are videos of each of Amani and Ryan's performances.

Week 1 (1st out of 6): “Sex On Fire” by Kings of Leon
Week 2 (N/A): Other half of the draw competed
Week 3 – Movies (6th out of 11): “Pure Imagination” by David Shannon, from “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory”
Week 4 – Dance (4th out of 10): “Jungle” by X Ambassadors
Week 5 – Musicals (8th out of 9): “Sit Down, You’re Rocking The Boat”, from “Guys And Dolls”
Week 6 – Dedications (4th out of 7): “Easy” by Dougie James
Week 7 – Guilty Pleasures (5th out of 6): “Club Tropicana” by Wham!
Week 8 – Solo Skate (3rd out of 5): “Ain’t That A Kick in the Head?” by Robbie Williams
Week 9 – Final (1st out of 3): “Believer” by Imagine Dragons

:cheer: WELL DONE AMANI AND RYAN!!! :cheer:
