Just made out the Predictions thread, and I noticed that the competitions start on Wednesday.

I had been planning on waiting until German Championships finished before opening up Italian Championships. But, in light of it starting earlier in the week than I expected, I'm opening it up now.

I also noticed a couple of interesting things in the Entries List for Senior Ladies.

Firstly, Nikol Gosviani is entered!!!

Secondly, Roberta Rodegheiro is trying to boost her chances of winning by being entered twice...

Last year Italian Federation decided to split Senior and Junior planning Junior together with Syncro in February.
This year they decided to do Senior Junior and Syncro all together. So they need to start earlier.

Yeah, it's the very first competition of Nikol as Italian skater!

Roberta is always looking ahead! That's why you entered her twice in the prediction thread too!

I suppose it makes more sense doing it like this.

And, anyway, it works better for me because I am not a fan of synchro. But, I do want to see the Italian Juniors, because I took a real liking to some of them when watching the Lombardia Trophy

Well, with the arrival of Nikol, Roberta needs all the tricks up her sleeve that she can find!

(As you may have gathered over the months and years, I really like Nikol, but am still not completely convinced by Roberta).

As for the table, I just thought that I would keep her in twice, just because it was I thought it was funny seeing the same name appear more than once!

Her ban ends on January 1st, 2016 so she can't compete earlier. AFAIK no officiality yet regarding her comeback.

Looking at all these entries, I feel somewhat sad that I only knew of Kostner. There are a lot more skaters who are working hard, everywhere.

I was just thinking the same thing. Good luck to all the skaters.

Just to let you know that there have been 2 names removed from the Senior Ladies entry list:

Elettra Maria OLIVOTTO and the second Roberta RODEGHIERO.

Also, I only realised there now that Micol Cristini was never on the Senior Ladies entry list. So, does anybody know why?

Is she injured?
Is she taking time out? (Concentrating on studies, perhaps?)
Has she gone back to Juniors?
Has she realised that she has got too "top heavy" for figure skating, and quit?
Or has she just plain not qualified?

I know she was having a nightmare of a season last year. But, I was kinda hoping to see if she would have a return to form this season.

Senior Short Dance Group 1 Warm-Up has just finished.

But I don't think the sound is coming through right. Because they are playing "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi, and we are only getting the backing vocals. We are not getting the lead vocals. So it sounds like only one of the "ears" is coming through.
