Wasn't expecting to see this thread appear yet!

Ice Network are really on the ball, putting up the schedules over three weeks before the championships start!

Us in Eurosportland can only dream of something like that!

With the way Eurosport changes their schedules so frequently, there is no point making out a schedule post until the week of the event. And by then, this thread may be 3 or 4 pages long!

So, I'm putting this up as a placeholder. Because I want to make sure my Eurosport schedule post is on the first page of the thread for easy access.

Firstly, apologies that I am only doing this now. The intention had been to do it 2 days ago, but then I found out Russian Junior Nationals were being streamed, and everything went out the window!

Right, we have a right mixed bag this week.

There is at least one difference to the schedule for EVERY version of Eurosport that I normally look up. So, I couldn’t get away with combining any of my lists.

There are so many differences in the highlights packages that are being shown, that I am not even going to attempt to describe them. Instead, I will encourage you to look at the schedule lists below.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come, but given that Discovery aims to pick up more national rights to sports, I fear it is.

By and large, there is LIVE coverage from every competition somewhere in Europe this week. But everything is not being shown LIVE everywhere.

Unfortunately, there is no LIVE coverage of Saturday’s Pairs Free Skate anywhere, due to there being LIVE Tennis on Eurosport 1 and LIVE Alpine Skiing on Eurosport 2. But, there is a highlights programme being shown later in the day, so we will not miss out completely.

Germany and Italy have the most complete coverage. Apart from the aforementioned Pairs FS, they are showing LIVE coverage of EVERYTHING. Including the Gala!!!

France is showing the same things LIVE as in Germany and Italy. BUT, there is one significant difference. There is LIVE Rugby on ESP2 on Sunday afternoon, so the Gala coverage has been shifted over to ESP1. Unfortunately, because there is LIVE Nordic Combined on ESP1 at 14:30 CET (the time the Gala starts in the other countries), the French version is not joining the Gala until an hour late.

The French schedule is confusing because they also have extra LIVE coverage for either 15 or 30 minutes directly before or after some of the competitions. So, I am wondering if they are doing studio analysis, or if they have somebody on site to do interviews, or something.

In Hungary, the LIVE coverage is the same as Germany and Italy except that the Gala is NOT being shown LIVE on Sunday afternoon. But there are highlights of it on a few times on Monday morning, so you are not losing out completely.

In terms of the LIVE coverage, British Eurosport is the same as Eurosport Hungary. But, the difference is that British is showing highlights of the Gala shortly after it finishes

It seems that our Dutch friends are getting the least coverage. There is no LIVE Men’s Short on Wednesday evening, due to LIVE football. There is no LIVE Ladies Free on Friday afternoon, due to LIVE football. And there is no LIVE Gala coverage on Sunday afternoon, due to LIVE football.
And finally, I haven’t checked the other Eurosport Players, but there is NO skating on the British Eurosport Player. So, we will not be able to go there to get the skaters that are on before the TV coverage starts.

So, the coverage is good, but is not complete.

Eek, 1:30 AM for the ladies SP? I wanted to see Elena and Evgenia really badly, but that is insane...

Only Pairs and Ice Dance on Saturday. Men will be completely wrapped up by Thursday.

Going to be a lot of replay watching for me on this one. Everything pretty much conflicts with my work or sleep schedule.

I wish I would feel like cheering, too, but alas.

Eurosport 2 Nederland will show the ladies event live, starting at 12:30. We're in the same time zone as Bratislava, and the Ladies event actually starts at 10:15. So presumably Eurosport 2 is skipping about two hours worth of skating, what is that, two groups?

And the men start at 20:30 on Eurosport 1, but at 17:30 (!) in Bratislava. Hello. Eurosport airs only two hours out of five!

I'm not confident Eurosport will change the schedule between now and two weeks, at least not for the better.

Oh my joy was short lived alas - Eurosport removed mens short live from listings on Wednesday unless it is marked under ladies short in error but not live anyway! Arr...

I'm not holding my breath for an "ISU" channel on the Eurosport Player either, showing full live coverage

For the first time ever , Euros will be streamed on the ISU Eurovision channel.


Although my guess is that geo-blocking prob. will be in effect, I am making mention for those with access.

oOOOo. Very interesting, thanks for the heads up! Bummer about the geo-blocking... but now I am wondering, if they have the ISU stream, does that make it more likely for Eurosport to also have that on their Player? I'd love access to this high-quality stream, one way or the other.

Besides Eurosport, you can try SVT1 and SVT2 from Wed. that week to Sunday. SVT is Sweden's national broadcaster. There is SVTplay but you may not get live streaming, but after the event is finished it is possible through replay. ( It works for me with DR - Danish national broascasting). In Norway where I live, NRK has just summaries and I think some live dance on Sat. All times are GMT +1 hour. Hope this helps all of you. What I like best about Sweden's coverage is that they show almost all the entries. These include the 'bless their hearts' skaters. Sweden has 3 women on the roster this year and Norway has one of the twins!

I downloaded the Eurovision App for Russian Nationals and was able to watch from my phone. Does anyone know if this will work for euros or do they geoblock even if I downloaded the app?

I can watch all sorts of other events like skiing and replay GPF and other events.

Eurosport coverage looks quite nice.
All events other than the pairs free are live.

There will be between 150-180 minutes dedicated for each disciplines SP/SD
The Free Programs will vary a little.

Yle will show everything fully live, Finnish geoblock - use proxy. This is the base feed, no commentary.

That would be British Eurosport? Certainly the Dutch one hasn't got coverage anywhere near that good. No Men's SP live, and of the Free programs, only Ice Dance live, and no gala live, either. And of course only a few hours of every event they do air live, and not even that with the recaps.

Yeah, it tends to IMO be the best watching experience ever. No commercial or studio breaks, decent quality, no buffering, never randomly shuts off, shows everything live. I honestly am not sure why it's so difficult to find a service like this anywhere else, it even is completely free.

You require a proxy in Finland, but here are the streams currently listed:

Ladies SP
Men SP
Ice Dance SD
Men FS
Pairs SP
Ladies FS

They should show everything though, just list a certain amount of streams in advance.
