This is the first competition in a long time where I'm not on pins and needles for the Shibs. Even if they place third here, I just have a more positive, optimistic, and excited feeling about them here. Of course things can change after the SD and seeing the actual performances, haha.

I'm so happy the draw is seeded... the extra hour and a half of sleep will be appreciated...

I'll try to keep an eye on it in the office (thanks for time schedules!). Go Shibs, Andrew/Kaitlyn and I actually like Piper and Paul. :coffee:

In case anyone is going by Ice Network's schedule, it is wrong. It says the SD is tomorrow at 11:45 p.m. (Eastern) instead of today at 11:45 p.m.

okay, unfortunately I won't be able to watch it life (at least 2 top groups) so I pop up here to post my praying circles and wishes!!!

:ghug: :ghug: :ghug: for Kaitlyn and Andrew - one for RW patterns, second for twizzles and third for breaking 73 pts!!! I believe they can do it, draw is perfect to do a big momentum, best SD this season in my opinion, best costumes (hands down), holy hotness of Andrew and smiley beauty from Kaitlyn

:ghug: for Maia and Alex - knock jugdes' socks off their feet and break this 70 pts border!!!

:ghug: for Piper and Paul - my biggest crush, please do well and get some nice spot for A-MA-ZING FD!!!

Looking forward to the SD! :)

I'm interested to see if there are any partial step sequences called level 4 here. It seemed like an unattainable call, as there wasn't a single one called a 4 at any Grand Prix event or the Grand Prix Final. Then, there were 2 given at US Nationals (not that that's an international event, but it may have started the ball rolling a bit), then 2 at Europeans (Italians and Danes). So, we'll see if any team at 4CC is given it.

Won't be able to watch it all live (me staying up til 11 on a weeknight is a recipe for total catastrophe), but I should be able to watch at least one group. Wishes:

1. Superb Shibs Slayage! #KeepCalmAndTwizzleOn

They probably won't win the SD, but I hope they can get at least 2nd and break 70. And they have a good shot at winning the FD; they will if they hit all their levels, for sure.

2. Madi and Evan to keep it together and not mess up their twizzles again. (I don't want them to beat the Shibs, but I like them, so I bequeath upon them 3rd in this scenario. Maybe 2nd, since I don't like WeaPo's FD, but for realism's sake, 3rd it is.)

3. WeaPo to do well but not be hugely overscored. (I'm sorry, but their current FD should not be getting 111...then again, the GPF was majorly sketchy and PCS was being handed out like free pens at a bank. But STILL.)

4. Practically a guarantee anyway, but Madi and Zach for Honorary Pewterists. I like their FD and I actually hope they, and the medalists-who are all basically locks-break 70, although it's unlikely.

5. Issue-free skates for Piper and Paul with all their typical awesome strangeness.

6. A non-NA team in the top 6.

7. Good skates for Muramoto & Reed, who I really enjoyed at NHK.

8. To find a great, obscure new team I'm currently unaware of to love!

9. That all the people with good costumes have kept their current ones and all the ones with bad costumes have gotten new ones. Hehe...

10. No falls!!

Seriously, can this happen? Pleeeease?

But mostly, #SuperbShibsSlayageFTW.

Can't wait for the ice dance! Here are my wishes:

1. Muramoto/Reed: dance your hearts out and win the audience! You make a cute couple!
2. Paradis/Ouelette: have to admit I was sorry that Paul/Islam were squeezed out but you deserved third at your Nationals. Love you Bridge Over Troubled Waters FD. Make it shine!
3. Hubbell/Donahue: come-back kids keep hanging in there. Hallelujah SD is special. Not as drawn to FD but do it proud!
4. Chock/Bates: you handled your loss at Nationals like champs. You have special skills-go for it!
5. Gilles/Poirier: luvvvvv that Beatles/baroque vibe. you continue to innovate and stretch the sport. Really rooting for you!
6. Shibs: have been a fan forever! The beautiful development and delivery of your SD and FD will prevail! Lights will guide you home!
7. Weaver/Poje: Bring home the gold (or silver if Shibs beat you to it).
8. Sorry other dance teams at 4CC that I don't know and can't remember names. I know I'm a bit north american oriented in my review. But I will be watching you all and may latch on to a new favorite!

Re item 5...so much to appreciate in I & I (improvement & innovation)...so impressive!

Re item 7...and speaking of time and improvement, such talent, grace, composure and skating skills. Enjoy your time in the sun, WePo.

I hope you all enjoy Matilda and William - I know I do! I hope they go well. It's their first Senior international. They've never competed Senior before, not even at Nationals. *biting fingernails*
