Because the rules are not even-handed, it is not surprising that Teams 1, 3, and 7 would look the most promising.

The rules specify that those teams each would be allotted two Group 1 entries:
For Team 1, the man and dance couple
For Team 3, the lady and pair
For Team 7, the man and dance couple

And that Teams 2, 4, 5, and 6 each would be allotted only one Group 1 entry.

And that Team 8 would be allotted zero Group 1 entries.

I'm rooting for Team 8 .

thats why they called it "Team Hope"
but team 6 (i forgot to put it in the first time) has not bad chance too. :)

Team 4: 8+2+3+6=19p
Team 5: 4+6+6+1=17p
Team 6: 1+8+5+4=18p
Team 7: 6+1+1+8=16p

thats why they called it "Team Hope" ...

:hopelessness: I don't know whether to :laugh15: laugh or cry :sad4:.

Of course, none of the skaters who are on the stronger mixed teams are responsible for the wacky rules. I'm not blaming them.

But go, Team Hope :ghug: :yay::

Ladies GALUSTYAN Anastasia of ARM (10th)
Pairs KIM Su Yeon / KIM Hyungtae of KOR (8th)

Thanks for the listing. I think, it would have been nice to have had at least one competitor of each nation in the team event.

Two teams will be rearranged. Team 5 and team 8 get a new girl. Maybe Galustyan and Sakamoto are injured.

Starting Order is up - www.isuresults.com/results/season1516/yog2016

Sakamoto replaced by Hocke (Team Determination)
Galustyan replaced by Gennaro (Team Hope)

Thx for the news. Was a mini-draw conducted to determine who the replacements would be?

Anyway, the upshot is:

- Galustyan (who placed 10th at YOG) is replaced by Gennaro (9th).

Italy now has four entries in the Mixed Team event, and Armenia has zero.

- Meanwhile, Sakamoto (6th) is replaced by Hocke (11th).

Germany now has its first and only entry in the Mixed Team event, and Japan's number is reduced to one.

I don't think anyone is streaming now, but hopefully Maria will at least deliver for group 2 of the men which has Jun Hwan Cha, Dmitri, and Deniss. :hap10:

Apparently Roman got injured in practice & had to wd? That was a comment on Twitter...I don't have any official info.

edit - here's a live stream for pairs:
