This is a very important thing to consider. Most of the slow motion videos I've watched have frozen the frame right where the skater's toepick is at before it leaves the ice. But is that skater still using their weight to lift themselves up at that time? I'd say it's doubtful.

It's not doubtful, that is what's happening (aside from the tiny little last bit of the toepick leaving the ice). The skater is spinning their weight around on the takeoff and thus making it so that they have to rotate less in order to complete the jump. This is part of why Triple-Triple combinations from women, especially more difficult ones, were more rare in the past. In order to do it "correctly", you need good speed out of the first jump and to go back into the toepick and up into the air. Now people just focus more on pulling into the landing of the first jump, dragging the toepick around, and clenching in for tight rotations. It's not actually about jumping anymore. It's about spinning a few inches off the ice.

I was not calling the ISU rules subjective. I was saying I am not an ISU certified judge so I don't cause I can't technically judge routines I watch.
I was saying historically and still the sport of Figure Skating is a very subjective sport that is just Figure Skating.

The more That I go back and watch videos the more I think I'd have Anna in first on my scorecard. Her intensity during the steps was really really rock solid  I find Zhenya to be a bit slow and more methodical than inspirational. YMMV.

I hope Anna improves her consistency, so she can get better treatments for her skating by judges and the Russian federation; her huge jumps, good skating skills, mature presentation altogether. She has also a star quality as well.

UGH I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED THE ORIGINAL POST! :curse: But it's a relief that I copied everything before it got deleted. So I can re-post it! Also, I've finally added Elizabet's SP and FS scores, as well as Mirai and Zijun's FS scores, so now I'm all done with the top 12. ;) The original score and placement are in brackets. I've also added some notes below as well.
SP:
1. Gracie Gold 73.46 - TES 39.61 PCS 33.85 (1. 76.43 - TES 40.51 PCS 35.92)
- ! call to flip (yes people disagree, I know) but I did give her a fair amount of -GOE
- PCS is higher than what she normally deserves because she performed this program very well here
2. Ashley Wagner 73.22 - TES 38.02 PCS 35.20 (4. 73.16 - TES 38.43 PCS 34.73)
- Nearly the exact same total score
3. Anna Pogorilaya 72.73 - TES 39.47 PCS 33.22 (2. 73.98 - TES 39.77 PCS 34.21)
- PCS is decreased by 1 point
4. Rika Hongo 71.06 - TES 38.20 PCS 32.86 (7. 69.89 - TES 38.29 PCS 31.60)
- PCS is increased because she was very underscored there
5. Evgenia Medvedeva 70.83 - TES 38.48 PCS 32.35 (3. 73.76 - TES 39.93 33.83)
- I didn't agree with her GOE and PCS
6. Elena Radionova 69.67 - TES 37.38 PCS 32.29 (5. 71.70 - TES 38.29 PCS 33.41)
- Same as Evgenia, but by 2 points instead (since there were some parts where I agreed with what they gave her)
7. Gabrielle Daleman 68.44 - TES 38.06 PCS 30.30 (7. 67.38 - TES 37.46 PCS 29.92)
- I gave her higher GOE and PCS which got her 1 point higher
8. Satoko Miyahara 67.92 - TES 34.80 PCS 33.12 (6. 70.72 - TES 37.21 PCS 33.51)
- UR call to the 3T (original did not call it) and the 3F (which also got a !)
- Rika has higher P/E and IN, but Satoko is higher in the other three
9. Zijun Li 67.74 - TES 37.44 PCS 30.30 (11. 65.39 - TES 37.22 PCS 28.17)
- Much higher PCS since she was underscored like Rika
- Same PCS as Gabby
10. Mao Asada 67.50 - TES 33.59 PCS 33.91 (9. 65.87 - TES 33.27 PCS 32.60)
- Again, underscored in PCS so that's 1 point higher
11. Mirai Nagasu 67.00 - TES 35.23 PCS 31.77 (10. 65.74 - TES 34.73 PCS 31.01)
- PCS may seem lower than what you guys put, but there's a big difference between her P/E & IN scores to her other ones
12. Elizabet Tursynbaeva - 62.53 - TES 35.78 PCS 26.75 (12. 61.63 - TES 35.09 PCS 26.54)
- Much higher GOE on the step sequence

FS:
1. Mao Asada 141.03 - TES 68.92 PCS 72.11 (7. 134.43 - TES 65.13 PCS 69.30)
- No UR call on the 2A-3T which the original had (I'm still not too sure whether it deserved one or not though)
- To be very honest, the score came out much higher than what I expected
2. Evgenia Medvedeva 139.63 - TES 72.13 PCS 67.50 (1. 150.10 - TES 77.76 PCS 72.34)
- Pretty much the same story as the SP
- Edge call on the 3Lz which the original did not have
3. Satoko Miyahara 139.05 - TES 70.46 PCS 68.59 (3. 139.89 - TES 73.54 PCS 66.35)
- Jumps were not as bad as the SP, so only a 3 point decrease in TES
- Very underscored in PCS, so that's increased
4. Anna Pogorilaya 137.24 - TES 70.63 PCS 66.61 (4. 139.71 - TES 71.60 PCS 68.11)
- Some jumps looked a bit scary and tilted
5. Ashley Wagner 136.37 - TES 64.63 PCS 71.74 (2. 142.23 - TES 68.45 PCS 73.78)
- I like Ashley, but her GPF performance was a bit better than this one
- Much lower TES due to UR call on the 3S (which I added)
- Much lower GOE on the step sequence
6. Rika Hongo 134.62 - TES 67.77 PCS 66.85 (8. 129.26 - TES 65.66 PCS 63.60)
- Both TES and PCS are a lot higher
7. Elena Radionova 132.42 - TES 67.86 PCS 64.56 (5. 138.11 - TES 70.17 PCS 67.94)
- GOE on every single jump are lower
- PCS was pretty overscored so that's lower too
8. Gabrielle Daleman 127.21 - TES 66.49 PCS 60.72 (9. 128.30 - TES 65.15 PCS 63.15)
- Other than SS, every other PCS category was originally marked too high
- Higher GOE for most elements
9. Gracie Gold 126.03 - TES 62.36 PCS 64.77 -1 FALL (6. 134.86 - TES 66.01 PCS 69.85 -1 FALL)
- Much lower PCS
- I added a UR call on the first 3T (the one with the fall)
10. Elizabet Tursynbaeva 123.23 - TES 66.71 PCS 57.52 -1 FALL (10. 121.99 - TES 67.39 PCS 55.60 -1 FALL)
- Not too sure why the step sequence was originally given a level 3 and low GOE, considering the fact that it was actually pretty nice
11. Zijun Li 120.64 - TES 61.07 PCS 59.57 (12. 119.13 - TES 59.40 PCS 59.73)
- Higher GOE for most elements
12. Mirai Nagasu 119.29 - TES 58.86 PCS 60.43 (11. 120.91 - TES 60.97 PCS 59.94)
- TES lower by 2 points, PCS slightly increased

1. Evgenia Medvedeva - 210.46 (1. 223.86) -13.40
2. Ashley Wagner - 209.59 (2. 215.39) -5.80
3. Anna Pogorilaya - 209.57 (3. 213.69) -4.12
4. Mao Asada - 208.53 (7. 200.30) +8.23
5. Satoko Miyahara - 206.77 (5. 210.61) -3.84
6. Rika Hongo - 205.68 (8. 199.15) +6.53
7. Elena Radionova - 202.09 (6. 209.81) -7.72
8. Gracie Gold - 199.49 (4. 211.29) -11.80
9. Gabrielle Daleman - 195.65 (9. 195.68) -0.03
10. Zijun Li - 188.38 (12. 184.52) +3.86
11. Mirai Nagasu - 186.29 (10. 186.65) -0.36
12. Elizabet Tursynbaeva - 185.76 (12. 183.62) +2.14
Top 3 are extremely close with 4th place just a point behind! :eeking:

SHORT PROGRAM

1. Anna Pogorilaya 75.44 - TES 40.70 PCS 34.74 (+1.46)
-Good jumps and spins, good interpretation and style in the StSq and throughout the program
2. Ashley Wagner 72.33 - TES 37.35 PCS 34.98 (-0.83)
-3T<
-Very good performance, she sold it and I loved it
3. Satoko Miyahara 71.70 - TES 37.24 PCS 34.46 (+0.98)
-3F was rotated enough though deserved negative GOE; good spins
-good choreography and good interpretation and expression
4. Evgenia Medvedeva 71.65 - TES 37.30 PCS 34.35 (-2.11)
-Scratchy flip, nothing spectacular about the jumps
-Good performance, nothing special; seemed unbalanced due to the backloading
5. Gracie Gold 71.24 - TES 36.31 PCS 34.93 (-5.19)
-Grossly overscored; nothing special about the 3Lz+3T, 3F should've gotten an edge call, scratchy 2A
-Average jumps but she actually had some performance and was selling it
6. Mao Asada 70.27 - TES 35.76 PCS 34.96 (+4.40)
-Great spins, StSq (as usual); despite the jump errors the performance didn't drop and she kept it until the end
7. Elena Radionova 66.76 - TES 33.36 PCS 33.31 (-4.94)
-Pretty sloppy all around, negatives on the all of the jumps except the 2A which is just neutral

FREE SKATING

1. Evgenia Medvedeva 140.67 - TES 73.53 PCS 67.14 (-9.43)
-Good program, jumps not as spectacular as the judges seemed to believe
2. Satoko Miyahara 138.66 - TES 70.36 PCS 68.30 (-1.23)
-Good performance; typical of what she's been doing all season
3. Mao Asada 138.16 - TES 67.89 PCS 70.27 (+3.73)
-Aside from the first three jump elements, solid +2-range elements thereafter
-Authentic interpretation and emotion, effortless skating and finished movements
4. Anna Pogorilaya 135.33 - TES 68.63 PCS 66.70 (-4.38)
-Not bad, it was a good program for her though seemed more restrained compared to the SP
5. Ashley Wagner 132.64 - TES 63.94 PCS 68.70 (-9.59)
-3T was rotated enough, though nothing spectacular about the elements-nothing really about +1
-Good performance, authentic, believable
6. Elena Radionova 130.56 - TES 63.70 PCS 66.86 (-7.55)
-Sloppy again, most elements shouldn't be above 0, though she gives it 110% and it's authentic and she believes in the program
7. Gracie Gold 128.68 - TES 63.61 PCS 66.06 (-6.18)
-Okay technical elements; 3F was definitely e
-Absolutely no performance, expression or interpretation; nothing but a blank face

1. Evgenia Medvedeva 212.32 (-11.54)
2. Anna Pogorilaya 210.77 (-2.92)
3. Satoko Miyahara 210.36 (-0.25)

7. Elena Radionova 197.23 (-12.58)

Didn't take notes so can't remember specifically what I didn't and didn't like. Also didn't score Hongo. I'm guessing she'd be around 6th...

Many thanks to the mods for removing the word "accurately" from the original thread title.

Not sure when the change was made, but very glad to see it :yay:.
