I saw her this past Sunday as part of a mini show put together by Johnny Weir at the Dallas Galleria. Very mature presence on ice. She and Vivian Le trained at a rink close to me and I will be trying to follow them more closely. Vivian is scheduled to skate next week for Dallas Ice, I'm not sure if Emily will be there, most likely so since they have the same coaching team.
Thanks @Layback11 for starting the thread.

Thanks Layback!!! We have both commented on her talent and potential in past threads and so glad to see her on here. Last Jan she won Novice with toe and sal, then returned to win Jr this year with loop and flip plus the toe/toe combo. I'm sure we'll see the lutz and new combos this coming season. Emily really has it all!!

Thanks for the tip about Skate Dallas! Turns out they have a fancy-schmancy website with a results page. Very helpful-now I know where to find them.

Note: there are several Dallas FSC skaters in the promotional picture slideshow on the home page, including Emily, so I would assume that means she will be there. Cool! Hopefully someone will put videos of it online. :agree:

Emily's FS from Skate Detroit. A lot of mistakes, early in the year, but hopefully her jumps are going to be better by the time her first competitions come around.

Her layout is a lot harder this year, though. First time with a 3lz in her programs, two flips (one in the second half), a 2a-3t-2t. Very challenging for her, and if she manages to compete this program without mistakes, she could make a splash on the american scene, to say the least.

Tentative layout (by watching the program)
3F - 2T (could be a 3T in here)
3Z
2A - 3T - 2T

Emily hasn't been at her best in either of her recent club competitions, but I love her programs and she has an entire season ahead of her to improve. Hopefully we'll see her in some CS events, since the GP is not really a possibility.

Her FS from the final round at Skate Detroit.

Somewhat better than the one from the other day, but she seemed tired/distracted, even though she managed to pull off some of those jumps. Had to push the 2a-3t combo to the second half. It would be interesting for her to try her old 2a-2t-2l in there somewhere too. Or even do a Satoko and go for two 2a-3t, and even a 3f-2t-2l. She could do it, maybe not now, but for the next seasons.

She has to stabilize that lutz though, but using it once in the FS is the most she's going to do, I guess.

Emily made her senior international debut at the US Classic this weekend, placing 6th. It was not her best event, but it showed promise, and I hope she can improve on it!

I think this is more like a growing season for Emily because she just learned a lot of jumps in the last season and this one, jumps she was not performing, so I doubt she's going to excel at them so quick. Just happy that she's trying out them, and her layout is certainly not the most easiest, too, so let's wait. She's a very special skater, and I hope great things come in her future.

We haven’t heard anything from her in quite a while. What is her music?
I feel that she is an advanced spinner but a nervous competitor who doesn’t have anyone to teach her the difficult jumps.
