I can't wait to see Satoko and Paige Rydberg. I discovered Paige this summer and i'm impressed, it's nice to see a skater that actually lands her jumps :agree:

...

Sometimes?

A lot of the time, Paige is a category 5 headcase...

(Sorry to burst your bubble-I like her too.)

Thanks. We went to practice today and took pictures of the Juniors and Novice practice group lists but I didn't know how I was going to post them. Now I won't need to.

We watched men's and pairs practice. Not much to write home about as everyone was getting a feel for the ice and no one went all out on the programs. There were a couple of notable things -

- Jason did go for the quad in the short run through - I thought is was a bit 2-footed but it seemed like full rotations. He seemed to have a hard time the rest of the practice, spending a lot of time at the boards with his head down. There was speculation that he was in pain. He left the practice right after everyone had finished their run-throughs.

- Adam landed what looked like a fully rotated quad lutz - it still looked a tiny bit 2-footed to me. It brought some applause from the judges side of the rink.

- I saw Ross try a quad salchow but didn't make it (I think he fell out of it).

- Sean Rabbit is still having trouble with his triple axel.

- Mura looked good - smooth and strong. I didn't really keep track of the jumps.

- Pairs - the pairs mainly just marked their programs.

Most Everyone looks in "beginning of the season" shape, both physically and program wise.

Jason is probably tired rather than in pain; he would have flown straight to SLC from Italy.

AH Black, did you see Team Australia?!

We were late for that group but did see them. I didn't notice anything specific except to note they didn't look like they were overly tired from the altitude. Again, they were mostly just getting used to the ice.

Also. Kori had him running on the sidewalks this morning. If he was in pain... i think she would have found a lower impact way of working out...or at least a running track.

Good to hear! He's the one I'm looking forward to seeing as I'm curious about his music choices.

Thanks so much for the report.
