Thanks for your translations!

I see... that's a really stupid question to ask, especially since we're still so far away from the Olympics :palmf:
And excellent answer :)

From my poor understanding russian: with the girls like Sasha, Aliona and Anna, if it would help to skaters like Alina to change citizenschip... :whack:

Alina is an olympic champion. She can ask us citizen if she wants and lives in the united states but she doesn’t need to change anything. Next Olympics are still far and everything can happen.

Looks like Alina and Masaru Zagitova are set to get their first ever roles in a movie!
It’s a russian-Japanese movie, how fitting!

That sounds very interesting. Are there more details of what this is about?

I guess it's a movie about a poor girl who is fighting for her dream and her best friend and support on this path is her devoted dog Hachi-I mean Masaru

So, the movie is called 'Palma" (Palm tree, a dog's nickname), directed by Alexander Domogarov . It's about a god owner who has to leave his dog Palma at the airport, when he wasn't allowed to take his dog abroad with him, and it has to wait for him there.
The events take place in 70s, in ussr. They will film the movie in both Japan and Russia.
I think since the scenario is reminiscent of Hachiko, Alina and Masaru will play some sort of reference to Hachiko movie. Hachiko was also a Akita Inu.

There was a Shiseido stand at the Rostelecom Cup where fans could print photos with Alina :)

and teamzagitova talked to them:

From yesterday’s conversation with the manager of Shiseido: “Yes, now we will always be present at the Rostelecom Cup, because we have Alina.”

Alina quotes from the latest interview with Glamour magazine -

https://twitter.com/teamzagitova/status/1194826709905879041

https://twitter.com/teamzagitova/status/1194822525311733766

Translation - (about her motivation)

“When all the titles are won, the main motivation is the incredible pleasure of what you know how to do at the highest level. And with such motivation, there is no limit to perfection.”

And this -

It wasnt a quote from Alina, it was authors note, idk why teamz read it wrong or posted this way( i saw lots of people got confused) . Alina’s speech were put in “” in a magazine, this part wasn’t. But article is great, it feels like they REALLY talked to Alina and instead of just putting her words out there they wrote a story as they saw it through her eyes.

This is Palma, the real life prototype of the movie character, she waited for 2 years for her owner that left her on the runway because he didn't have the necessary med certificate for her. She lived near the Vnukovo airport runway and met and saw off every single IL-18 plane that arrived or left the airport (her owner left in one of those, and she remembered). She became famous after one of the pilots based in Vnukovo noticed her, and an article appeared in one the major newspapers. The owner never returned, but Palma was adopted by a family in another city. Took her a while to adapt and trust people again, but she finally did. And gave birth to 3 puppies later :)

Russian part of the "Palma's Story" has already been shot - main characters - Palma and Kolya. Alina and Masaru will appear in the additional scenes that would be added to the Japanese version of the movie by 2020.
