Can't explain how happy I am to give you this news...
Soon, you'll see me back on the ice holding hands with Kirill Khalyavin! We've been in Moscow for a while working with Alexander Zhulin's team, but we couldn't make anything official until today that Kirill got his release from the Russian Federation, now being able to represent Spain.
A very big thank you to all who made this possible... The Spanish Federation, the Madrid Federation... all of you who never stopped believing in me when it all seemed impossible... to @marcapatrocinalos and @bodegasemiliomoro for their support when I most needed. ⛸🙏 See you back on the ice!

Good luck, Sara and Kirill :hap10: :hap10: :hap10:

I am so happy for them! I hope they have a lot of support from their Federation to make their training process smooth and effective, I really can't wait to see them in the competition. I think that they could keep this passion, Spanish vibes, Sara had always had with Adria. Good luck guys! :cheer:

Let's celebrate Spain!🇪🇸 🎉 It's such an honor to represent this country wherever I go and now next to @kirill_khalyavin , who might not share the same origins as me, but he shares the love for this country and it's culture. Thanks to the Spanish Embasy for opening the doors to us and make us feel closer to home. HAPPY SPANISH HERITAGE DAY!

They're cute together. I don't understand Spanish, will they do Senior B before Nationals?

OMG, I can't wait to see them in competition.
B/S mentioned in a recent interview that they would be going to the Polish CS, I wonder if Sara and Kiril will go too?
When does his quarantine finish?

Kirill's last competition for Russia was Rostelecom Cup last November - he and Ksenia competed in the SD but withdrew before the FD due to an injury, so Hurtado/Khaliavin won't be able to compete for Spain until late November at the earliest. H/K could conceivably do a Challenger (Tallinn Trophy and Golden Spin) or Senior B (Santa Claus Cup) prior to Spanish Nationals in December.

Hieloespanol reports that the Spanish Federation has decided that the winner of Spanish Nationals will go to Europeans, but whichever team has the season's highest SD tech score from an ISU competition will go to Worlds. I think this makes it much more likely that we will see Sara and Kirill at a competition before the end of the year. Both Robledo/Fenero and Smart/Diaz have competed in the Challenger Series already; R/F's SD tech high is 23.30 from the Skate Canada Autumn Classic, and Smart/Diaz's is 28.80 from Salt Lake City. So to get that Worlds spot, H/K will have to score at least 28.81 TES in the SD at an international.

Thanks a lot for the information, legjumper. I really hope to see Sara and Kirill at least at one of either Europeans or Worlds this season. Will have to see their programs at some other competition first, though - perhaps I won't actually like them which would be a pity.
