Time for another confession from me. I started watching a particular American drama series three years ago purely because the lead actresss in it looked like a girl I fancied when I was at school.

And I am still annoyed that the channel that was showing it in the UK bumped it down to their second channel after the first series, and then stopped showing it completely after the second series. Meaning that the final 2 series have never been broadcast over here.

It may have been getting relatively low ratings, but those of us that were watching would have liked to have seen the rest of it!!!

I had a crush on Yagudin when I was young, so once I bought a nice bouquet find a courage and reached him after the competition with mouth wide open, flirting eyes and gave it ..as a result he patted me like 3 yo chubby kid and pinched my cheek.... It was the most awful memory for years but now I am laughing like crazy remembering it.
Was Tat there with him?

Oh, do not even get me started...the day I met Max I was just getting on the ice...let's just say I don't generally aim to look fashionable on the ice. I was wearing skates, and he wasn't...I am 5'8" out of skates...he barely came up to my shoulder, and I'm sure my face was redder than a beetroot. :hopelessness:

Though that was marginally better than when I met Jason...after I had already been on the ice, so my hair, already suffering in Colorado's dryness and the odd American shower water, was in frizzy wisps all over the place! (Not to mention my classic opening line... "Hi, I'm Jason!" "I know." REALLY? I KNOW?! :palmf: )

I am really shy at the best of times. But I can be even worse whenever I meet people for the first time.

I still remember what I was like the first time I met my all-time hero, the late great Joey Dunlop. OK, so I was only about 6, but I was so shy that I hid behind my Dad!

On top of that, I can be so awkward around girls.

So, later in the year when I meet one of the Ladies skaters I have adopted, I can imagine that it is going to be even more embarassing than your stories.

Normally in this kind of situation, I would throw in a bit of casual flirting, and that would ease things up. But I can't do that here as this skater is young enough to be my daughter!

So, I'm screwed!

I was once told that I'm saying "I know" way to often, cause it's ending discussion quite abruptly :p But it's hard for me to pretend I don't know something or someone, when I do. Oh well... My social skills aren't that great either.

So I don't know how this thread works but here is my random confession. I deeply dislike Lady Gaga because she is an Iron Maiden fan. We metalheads can be entitled brats and complete a**holes!

I went up to Nikolaj Sorensen to get his autograph, not because I wanted his autograph but just because I wanted to see him very closely.

He is so good looking it's unbelievable.

He giggled as most of the people in line for his autograph were 10 year old girls... and there, was me... with a couple days worth of facial hair, and eyes that were staring him down and up :)

He was very sweet and I think that if I meet him again, I will ask for his autograph AGAIN :)

Scott and Tessa were just next, and I didn't bother... despite the fact that Scott is very good looking himself and Tessa is just so cool!

Yeah... i know... I confess.... SORENSEN!!!!!

Come on, you're not gonna tell us which show it was? I'm very curious and somewhat suspecting it might be a show that I also watched.

No, I'm not going to embarrass myself by admitting what the series was that I watched.

But the actress in question was Lizzie Caplan. ;)

Really???, I always assumed you were a girl, I don´t know why. And I love legally blonde too.

My confession: I am a closeted figure skating fan. I am woman but I feel embarrassed if people realize that I love to watch figure skating.

Lel me too! It really isn't something to be embarrassed about but it just feel weird to get addicted to certain sports (FS, gymnastics) out of nowhere [emoji23] I even hide the fact that I started learning to skate and I don't really understand why

Exactly, I don´t want to look like a freak. But I can´t deny it, I am a freak.
I delete my youtube historial/record (because is full with videos of figure skating), and if I am watching a competition, fs video or reading a FS forum I quickly close my laptop when someone enters the room,.... WT...F!!!, with this kind of behavior anyone would think i'm watching porn

Same here, comrade. You just said the things I always do! our hidden hobby will probably blow up one day and your and my people will find out that we're figure skating freaks [emoji12] I always join my dad to watch judo and soccer on tv without being embarrassed But I guess FS is my guilty pleasure just as kpop is a guilty pleasure for many closeted fans. I wish you and I come out one day and watch fs with pride lol

If it's the show I'm thinking of, don't worry, the last two seasons weren't so great. More about the triangle with Michael Sheen and his wife, and less of the research and reaction to it (which absent the erotica, I found fascinating. Like the Beau Bridges Allison Janney subplot). In fact I bailed on season three.

If it's not the show you were talking about, this will make no sense whatsoever.
