Deanna Stellato (Stellato-Dudek) and Nathan Bartholomay are Pairs skaters who represent the United States. Deanna Stellato was born on June 23, 1983 in Park Ridge, Illinois, USA. Nate Bartholomay was born on May 18, 1989, in Newtown, Pennsylvania, USA. The team are two-time US bronze medalists, in 2019 and 2018. Nate recently announced his retirement, due to a knee injury. Deanna and Nate announced their partnership in July, 2016. Deanna was a singles skater who returned to competition after a 16 years absence. As a single skater, she was a World Junior silver medalist and 2000 Junior Grand Prix Final champion. She retired from singles skating in 2001, although her last competition was in 2000. Nate Bartholomay had previously skated pairs with Erika Smith, Felicia Zhang and Gretchen Donlan, and represented the US at the Sochi Olympics in pairs with Felicia. After less than a year together, Stellato and Bartholomay finished fourth in the 2017 US Nationals and won the pewter medal.

The couple announced the end of their partnership in April 2019. In August Deanna appeared on an entry list for Souvenir Georges-Éthier in partnership with Canada's Maxime Deschamps.

Deanna and Nathan were coached by Jim Peterson, A. Evora, L. Johnston and C. Caprel.

Thanks for the link. That was the one pair team I really wanted to see. Pairs used to be my favorite, now I like the men best. I may get into pairs again. I loved her grin! She is amazing.

So glad there's one for them! I hope they can kick butt tomorrow and place really well (I'm hoping for 5th or higher).

Just bumping up to wish luck to Deanna and Nate this afternoon.

I know that this comp has been decimated by injuries and withdraws before the comp:sad21:, but wouldn't it be amazing if they actually reached the podium? Fingers crossed.:cheer:

The LP was a rough one for Deanna and Nate, but still 4th??? That is a great result for a pair who have been skating together for six short months.:clapper:

Here is a good interview after the SP by Dave Lease and Deanna and Nate. He asks how Deanna broke the news to her family about her return to the ice, and whether the pair are planning bigger jumps (Deanna is so cute: I'm concentrating on getting the pair elements down first), and whether they are thinking about the Olympics: (Nate: We are so not thinking about the Olympics)

Still looking for the LP on YouTube....Also, embarassed to say, not exactly sure what that music is?:scratch2:

I think they complement each other well, there's some charm about them when I watch them skate.

I was hoping that they would be our 2nd Olympic pair but we only get one and the Kernims have to be our first choice. So I'm hoping that S/B make the world team. That's a good goal! Wishing them tons of success next season.

Deanna and Nate are taking over US Figure Skating Snapchat for today for Pairs' Camp:clap:

On my iPad, and no idea how to link it or if I can. So far, just a shot from their room and an intro, but we do get to see Nate's hair relatively product free;) I expect more will come.....

Capitalizing on some awesome strength + individual jumping skills. Makes all the sense in the world to be going for it for TES boost.

What are the chances of them getting the Olympic spot? I know everybody thinks it's going to Scimeca Knierim/Knierim, but is there a chance after all? (I like Alexa and Chris, too, don't get me wrong.)

I'm so much more invested in pairs this season! I think it's because there's no clear winner and any one of about five teams could conceivably win the gold.

I think there's a chance for another team instead of the Knierems to go to the Olympics. If, and it's a big if, a US team starts proving itself on the GP circuit with strong results and perhaps beats Alexa and Chris head to head, it's possible another team might be chosen.
Let's face it, no US team is a model of consistency so if a team starts landing jumps and throws and has good choreography and connection, well why shouldn't there be a fight at Nationals for that Olympic spot? And why not Deanna and Nate? If they keep improving and developing they have a decent chance. :)
