What a weekend for Deanna and Nate! That SP was amazing, and the long was just as fabulous. I think it was Charlie White who said (in an Ice Desk preview) Jim Peterson's pairs are always very well prepared. And they really were! Congratulations on their bronze medal. They were SO happy!

Deanna and Nate:yahoo: What an inspiration and what a great comp for them.

This Ice Network post-skate interview of Deanna and Nate with Charlie White is honest and funny, and if you haven't seen it yet, it's worth a look

Deanna: I'm majoring in pairs and minoring in ice dance, and I just want to do the major:laugh:

Nate: To the guys [younger skaters], the sillier you look, the better it is:laugh:

It’s so inspiring that Deanna came back after all these years and is doing better in Senior pairs now than she did when she was competed as a Senior lady. There’s also not enough kudos for Nate - he was willing to trust that this partnership would work.

Congrats to Deanna and Nate on their 5th place finish at Four Continents and their PBs!

I think they were a tad underscored, but they look so elegant and refined on the ice, and also so happy. I just smile watching them smile :hap85:

Short Program, Hallelujah

Long Program, U2 Medley

Let's hope for GP assignments next season!

Deanna and Nate are going to Worlds!

Sorry for withdrawals that caused it, but so happy to see them skate again!:cheer::yes2::dance3:

I think in all the threads, I’m using every “happy” icon GS has

Awwww, so sorry to not see Tarah And Danny. They are my favorite U.S. pair. But all the best to Deanna and Nate. Great opportunity for them!

So Deanna and Nate did not make the long, by one placement :sad21:

Still, a wonderful skate. And here is a great article by an AP writer that has appeared in different papers, including the Washington Post, about our gal:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...b51e028b845_story.html?utm_term=.aca59f020d40

With this great news from Deanna:

"Stellato doesn't know how long her second act in skating will last but she wants to continue until at least the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China — when she will be 38.

"I've had a 16-year vacation, I can go another four," she said with a smile."

You go, girl :yahoo:

Deanna and Nate are working those Ice Dance connections; now they have Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon choreographing their free?

And I need to say that Deanna and Nate look wonderful in that photo, and I like Nate's stubble. I know he won't keep it for comps, but still.....

Congratulations to Deanna and Nate on their silver medal at the Ondrej Nepela Challenger comp!:hap10:

1. SP Despite Deanna's fall, that tango was so sultry and grown up without "in your face" sexing it up: I loved it. I hope to see it clean soon:pray:

Deanna and Nate's SP:

2. LP I also liked the Whitney Houston LP, which was sophisticated and fun, but the video is blocked in the US :dev2:

LP Link in case you can access it:

3. Photo with medals
And finally, a great photo of Jim Peterson, Deanna and Nate. I will be shallow and say it, what a good looking group:yes:

US Pairs are bringing it this year, and Deanna and Nate are in the mix!

Thank you! I love me my gal Deanna and my homie Nate, but keeping up the OP is not my skill set.

And fingers crossed for when Nebelhorn is over, although I bet Whitney Houston’s estate (or whoever) will block the free in the US:angry2:

Well, Deanna and Nate did not have quite the skate they wanted, but Nate posted this on Twitter:

Sometimes you can feel good and have the best intentions and it just really doesn’t go your way.. I’m sorry to our fans for our poor performances here in #GPHelsinki2018 but we are ready to bounce back and become stronger for what’s to come! #TeamUSA

No need to apologize for doing your best, and come back stronger in the next GP:clap:
