Last six ladies have a minimum handicap between each other. It's a good sign.

Get your mojo back Anna!!! :cheer2:
...and she messed up again. :scowl:
She's been totally lost there in Saransk. Doing weirdest mistakes in steps, spins, I guess 2 month competition break in the middle of a season is very disruptive.

I'm not sure why but I'm not really into Vasilieva's music choices nor her costume choices nor her presentation and her jumps to me seem pretty muscled through and don't have the graze I'd like to see. It's just not very enjoyable for me to watch her performances but I can appreciate that she's skilled. Hopefully her jumps actually last because I see some worrying signs.

And of course, my favorite performance was by Trusova who has the most beautiful Lutz since Tsurskaya. Watching these girls has actually made me rediscover how beautiful of a jump Lutz is and how unfortunate it is that the vast majority of skaters aren't able to bring that out. She also performed a 3Lz-3Lo combo which is one of my favorites. The presentation is not quite at Gubanova's level but luckily there are different skaters for appreciating different things.

One pleasant surprise I have to bring up was Anna Scherbakova because even though she didn't score very high, her program was pretty refreshing and had some interesting sequences. I see some potential here. And apparently she's scored really highly in some past competitions, perhaps I should check those out.
