And our commentators at least have been constantly telling us in the last competitions how they will cover Worlds, the only channel that is showing Figure Skating. They showed a lot of the GP, Euros, 4CC and even the Winter Universade. And now, when it comes to the most important competition of the season, there is such mediocre coverage? I regret spending money on the player again. I assumed they would show it live on Eurosport 2. But no. I never learn.
Well, at least this time it's not only highlights on ESP1 and that's probably what they meant to say. This way eurosport wants to let us know how generous they can be - several hours of figure skating recordings for a non-paying audience. It's a shame. Only a few years ago there was a lot more live broadcasting, even on ESP1.

Does anyone know if Ice network is blacking out any of the events in the US? In the past it seems that it was just if it is live on NBC.

This can be seen only in Finland and this shows other sport programs, too.

Thanks, was just checking this out, too. My iphone won't show any videos when I go to the website; I get a geoblock warning. Which is ridiculous, as I am totally in Helsinki. Wifi or 4G, no difference.
*But* it works fine with the yle app from the apple AppStore. :)
I probably won't be using it, but it's always nice to have something to fall back on.

Oh boy. I cant wait to see how much of the over the air NBC coverage is deleted by my local affiliate....At least there is INW and youtube.
Forget tax reform and healthcare. We need an equal rights ammendment to the constitution, guaranteeing equal access to all figure skating video, no matter what race, religion, color, sex, economic status or location someone is !
I have a dream! We shall overcome predujice! Figure skating video is a RIGHT, not a privlidge! OK, I am going to go take my meds now.....:agree2:

Don't be too sure - what with FujiTV...

Sorry that this is later in the thread than usual, but I was waiting until the 7 day listings covered the whole event, and forgot to post a placeholder in the meantime.

I have included the table that I normally use as a placeholder, but I should warn you that Eurosport Player has had a couple of makeovers since Four Continents. And, as part of those makeovers, they have removed the search facility! :bang: :bang: :bang:

But, can we be surprised that they have removed something useful?!

I should add that Europe is now on Daylight Savings Time. So, please be aware of that when trying to calculate times in other parts of the world.

I’ll be adding times for other versions of Eurosport over the next hour.

Sorry again

Correction, I won't. I forgot that the 7 day listings page automatically shows the listings for your own version of Eurosport no matter which website you go to. :bang:

Oh, how I hate the changes that Eurosport have made to their websites over the past year! :drama:

I really wish we could go back to the days when the listings were the past 7 days, today, and the next 14 days!

The schedule might have changed umpteen times in the days between the listings first appearing and the day coming along, but at least you could get an idea of what they may be showing!

[ I sincerely hope it's not Kat Downes again on commentary though, she was useless during Boston, and knows nothing about Skating. Would the BBC put a total newbie on any other Sport? Ofcourse not! But FS doesn't count! :disapp:]

I sincerely thought the person they were planning to commentate alongside Mr. Cousins either became ill or cancelled last minute - her commentary was soooo bad.

And, she kept calling ALL of the skaters 'dancers' :palmf:

As Caroliza fan posted up thread Europe is now on Daylight Savings Time so they are now 7 hours ahead of U. S. Eastern Time. Ice Network has now corrected the schedule: http://web.icenetwork.com/schedule/2017/03/2017_world_fs_champs. If you use the old schedule then everything will be 1 hour earlier than the schedule shows.

The Ladies SP on Wednesday will start on IceNetwork at 3:40 a.m. ET :eeking:

ISU report on facebook they will be livestreaming practices! Starting on Wednesday.
Unfortunately it doesn't say *which*, at main rink, practice rink, or both, but the photo they show is from the practice rink. In other words, this is potentially VERY interesting!

Despite making promises not to curse British Eurosport ever again, alas, they give so many reasons for wishing to do so - how one can not to? Looking at the schedules why oh why find lots of slots to repeat the same highlights again and again instead of giving more coverage to all the disciplines not only the pairs? I don't care if they aired it during the night or broke in parts whatever ... China Open Snooker this week makes my blood run cold. I'll never forget how I watched snooker for hours last year hoping that scheduled men's long would finally show up (never did). I have a grave suspicion it could be a repeat of last year.
I read on the other forum that Red Button BBC could be available in Ireland with a bit of work - I'll try that this evening and if it works I'll post here. They will be showing men's LP live on Saturday morning unlike BESP!

Eurosport 2 in Holland will also show the Men's free live on Saturday. I want to record it, so really hope my online TV guide app updates the listings at some point, because now it still shows Cycling and Curling. :-/

And the other thing to remember is that this year's Worlds is in a country that is in the Eastern European time zone, as opposed to most other competitions in Europe which are in countries that are in the Central European time zone

So, Finland is currently GMT+3 (not GMT+2, which France, Germany, etc. are on at the moment)

It's always complicated when time changes come into play. At least this year the change is before Worlds, rather than during it.

The problem is not that they are showing snooker. The problem is that they are showing snooker AND cycling.

As for the Red Button coverage, yes you can manually tune it in. I normally include the details on how to receive BBC channels outside the UK whenever I am talking about something being shown on them, but I forgot to do it this time.:

Just give me a moment to check if the tuning details have changed since I last posted about them, and then I'll edit them into my previous post.

EDIT: Done.

Unfortunately, ISU will not be live streaming the actual competition events .

https://twitter.com/ISU_Figure/status/846251796922290176

ISU Figure Skating
‏Verified account @ISU_Figure

@Joana_230710 The event won't be on the ISU Skating Channel but our broadcast partners will cover on TV and online.

Sorry, I just wanted people to know about the practice sessions, which they are streaming. People usually post other live streams for the competition itself, so hopefully you'll be able to watch.
