Thank you for creating a fan fest for Aiza, CaroLiza_fan! The competitive highlights and personal bests look so detailed, amazing. :thank:

I hope to see Aiza's development next season, I am sure that Kazakhstan's two spots for PyeongChang will make her very motivated! Good luck Aiza!

Great to see you made the thread!

I was looking forward to it:hap57:

So glad that she has a good shot at getting a Pyeongchang spot, thanks to Elizabet's great skating at Worlds.
Aiza first stood out to me at the Asian Winter Games and I hope to see a lot more of her.

Since I am quite new to FS, I was wondering: do you think she has a shot at getting a GP spot?

With me, it was one competition earlier (at the Universiade) that Aiza first came up on my radar. And I took an instant liking to her.

So, it was a bit of a surprise to me when I was doing this Fan Fest and found that she has actually been around competing at international competitions a few years.

Now that she is starting to do more Senior competitions, and now that Elizabet has earned Kazakhstan a second slot at Worlds and the Olympics, I am hoping that we get to see Aiza more often! ;)

Honestly, no. There are too many skaters ahead of her in the ISU World Standings.

The ISU World Standings are based on your results over the past 3 years. And because Aiza has not done too many international competitions compared to other skaters, she is only in 137[SUP]th[/SUP] position.

This season, there were 39 Ladies skaters competing in the GP Series. So, that means the chances of Aiza getting a call up are practically zilch. There are just too many skaters ahead of her.

But, maybe when she gets more competitions under her belt, she will have a better chance in a few years time.

Hope so too! I am thinking of going to one or two of the smaller competitions in Europe; maybe she will show up there:hap10:

Honestly, no. There are too many skaters ahead of her in the ISU World Standings.

The ISU World Standings are based on your results over the past 3 years. And because Aiza has not done too many international competitions compared to other skaters, she is only in 137[SUP]th[/SUP] position.

This season, there were 39 Ladies skaters competing in the GP Series. So, that means the chances of Aiza getting a call up are practically zilch. There are just too many skaters ahead of her.

But, maybe when she gets more competitions under her belt, she will have a better chance in a few years time.

Thanks for explaining!:thank: Did not know it was three years, thought it was two. Yeah, that would make it even harder if she just started.

She does have a Japanese Wikipedia entry, where she is listed as being 163 cm tall. She seems much taller.
I tried to post the link, but Japanese characters get jumbled up.

Hope so too! I am thinking of going to one or two of the smaller competitions in Europe; maybe she will show up there:hap10:

On her ISU page it's also 163 cm. The reality is that on the ice everyone looks a bit taller and 'bigger'. I think Mambekova looks about 160 cm tall on the ice.

Just to let you know that Aiza has been competing in a local competition in St. Petersburg the past few days.

Aiza was 16[SUP]th[/SUP] in the SP with a score of 40.49. Here are the full SP results, as posted in Liza Tuktamysheva's Fan Fest by adelia:

https://cs14036.userapi.com/c837129/v837129162/486c6/Ulg2_DBCB58.jpg

I don't have a results table for the FS, but adelia also posted about the overall results, and from looking at them I have worked out that Aiza was 12[SUP]th[/SUP] in the FS with a score of 93.30.

Liza was 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] in the SP and the FS, and won the competition overall.

Since you need to sign in to read the vKontakte post that adelia linked to, here are the overall results:

1 Елизавета ТУКТАМЫШЕВА 213.35 2 2
2 Анастасия ГУБАНОВА 212.59 3 1
3 Станислава КОНСТАНТИНОВА 201.76 4 3
4 Серафима САХАНОВИЧ 191.42 5 4
5 Каролина КОСТНЕР 190.78 1 6
6 Александрина ДЕГТЯРЕВА 188.96 6 5
7 Алена ЛЕОНОВА 172.41 7 9
8 Мария ПЕРЕДЕРОВА 168.30 9 8
9 Екатерина ГУСЕВА 167.03 11 7
10 Алина СОЛОВЬЕВА 150.04 8 11
11 Варвара ДЮКАРЬ 149.77 12 10
12 Пидия ЯКОВЛЕВА 143.31 10 13
13 Aйза МАМБЕКОВА 133.79 16 12
14 Дарья КУЛИКОВА 131.99 14 14
15 Ксения ОСИПОВА 125.32 15 15

That was good work in the FS to climb up some places. :cheer:   :party2: :points:

:cheer: WELL DONE AIZA!!! :cheer:

Awwww!!! I'm all :eek:: now!

Thank you so much for the compliments. They mean a lot.

It took a lot of experimenting over the past few years to find a format that presents everything in a clear and easy to find fashion. But, I think this format does that very well.

But, I just noticed that it is not actually complete. For example, I haven't included a video list yet.

I'm aiming to roll this format out to all of my Fan Fests, but haven't got round to doing any of them yet. Largely because I have been updating Fan Fests owned by other members, to tie in with articles about those skaters.

For these other Fan Fests, I have been using versions of my format that have been adaptated to blend in with how the Original Poster had it. So, for example, Mikhail Kolyada, Shoma Uno, or the latest one I have done, Denis Ten.

But, it is so good to hear that you like it.

:thank:
