- That failure at the last (jump) was really 'kuyashii', but got all pumped up and excited, so it's alright.

- The atmosphere at the venue was really good. During competition too, I received lots of cheers from many people there, they gave me energy/power, and I received even more cheers at this exhibition. I can't thank them enough, I was able to create great atmosphere/air with them, I think.

- I want to make use of my experience and failure from the 2 GPS for the (near) future.

- I want to gambaru with all my might both in competition and exhibition.

He also briefly appeared on Nam's IG live (just the first few seconds): https://twitter.com/ssherloced/status/1196119825585713153
I'm not completely sure, but maybe they were making fun of Tomono-kun's gesture after FS
https://www.instagram.com/p/B47cnjCpn5J/
(The one he did is a natural 'ouchie!" gesture (cutely blaming his mistakes with his fist, but not too seriously), and the one they were doing with Nam (with the flat of their hand) looked more like manzai-ish act to me. (Some comedians here do it on purpose for a laugh, I think...)

Tomono-kun's latest insta story says: My favorite denim(=jeans), my favorite boots, and my favorite sweater. (Going to) School~!
He's already back to his normal student life!!!

Awww thanks for the translation of the IG story, Tsurara-san! I remember after Skate America he posted a 'back to school' story as well. It's just so nice to see him having a normal student life outside skating :luv17:

Did you guys see his tweet, from what I could understand it was about a YouTube channel who had a skater as a guest. Kazuki said it's not him, but he wants to participate
https://twitter.com/naniwatomono/status/1197180944433565696

Also, someone posted the very end of Kazuki's free skate run-through at Rostelecom: https://twitter.com/tmtmwktk/status/1197189706548539394
Look at that gorgeous triple flip... Why didn't you land it like that in competition, Kazuki... :sad4:

The channel's owner is his senpai friend, and from their next program a skater we don't know whom yet but someone known? will be joining them as a regular(?) member of the channel. It also said they will be making some figure skating related shows too, which Tomono kun says he fancies to appear some time...??? Ha ha, let's see how it'll turn out!

I guess Tomono-kun will be watching NHK Trophy at home or maybe again at Chukyo univ. I'm expecting another IG story from him about it!

Oh, thanks for explaining, Tsurara-san! It would be nice to see Kazuki as a guest on the channel
Yes, I'm sure he'll be watching NHK and cheering for Team Japan!

It seems there will be an interview with Misha published on 4th Dec, in which he will explain why he asked Philip Mills to choreograph for Kazuki!
https://twitter.com/MishaGe_JP/status/1197132215424962562
Hope there will be an fan translation

I'm sure he is, too, but his tweet so far says he's enjoying it fully as one of figure skating fans :laugh2:

("美/beauty" is lately used a lot by Alena Kostornaia fans, to express her overwhelming beauty leaving them speechless.)
And his IG story was about his favorite Youtubers' debut song, "We Are Recitals" by Recitals, from Tokai On Air.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bqwo_7QdmhQ
(It's a comical song and he apparently loves it so much.)

Thanks for the translation, Tsurara!
From what a could see, this Kostornaia thing was sort of viral on Japanese internet, right? So Kazuki's showing his 'copycat' nature once again
I remember he posted before about Tokai on Air! Didn't know they also had a musical group. Kazuki also retweeted Keiji's birthday tweet that also mentions the Recitals? https://twitter.com/deka_1122/status/1197801115779076096 Seems they are quite popular!

Right, but I'd say, it's rather, "jumping on the bandwagon" than copycat
And how could I miss mentioning Keiji's bday tweet!!! :bang: Yes, he did and it does appear to be very popular!

Btw, some fans discovered something very neat from Kansai In-Colle today.
https://twitter.com/doshisha_fsc/status/1198492372532785154
They are 1st year students of Doshisha univ, says it was their debut, and the boy on the left looks like he's wearing Tomono-kun's old costume! (Japanese Doll) Not confirmed, but people are checking out old vids for it.
Maybe Tomono-kun had a busy weekend cheering for his club as a senpai member!

Awww this is so incredibly cute!
I do think it's the same costume, because it's literally identical: https://youtu.be/l5D4Kjmmbxw
I wonder if the costume is borrowed, or if Kazuki actually donated it to the boy!

While I'm at it, watching that video from 2015 JNats again, can I just take a moment to appreciate how much Kazuki has improved since he the time used this costume...
His air position especially, it boggles the mind he was able to rotate an axel bending his legs like that! He hasn't fixed it completely, but it's a lot better now.

Pin-up is a poster, or sometimes a bit smaller than a poster, but a large piece of photo image to pin up on the wall.
(I think it's originally an English word, but does it only mean girls' sexy ones in English? I've seen quite a few like James Dean and some rock stars, though.)
It says this magazine includes this pin-up poster (size A3, so twice as big as the size of normal copy paper) with one side Hanyu kun, and the other side Tomono kun in MR costume. I guess they realized Tomono kun is popular enough!

(You don't have to call me with -san, KiraraChin!)

Oooh, thanks! I think these days most English-speakers associate the word 'pinup' to attractive girls posing in a certain style. That's why I asked for more clarification, because when I read it I was like 'no, it can't be' It seems I wasn't the only one, as this (Japanese) fanart shows: https://twitter.com/nozomi500k4/status/1199347399736451073 :laugh2:

But seriously, though, a A3 poster with Yuzuru on one side and Kazuki the other, wow! His name features on the cover quite prominently too: https://twitter.com/jfsbot/status/1198824595454750720
This sounds like something a teenage girl would have on her wall... Does it mean our boy achieved 'heart-throb' status?

(You don't have to call me with -san, KiraraChin!)
Thank you :eek::

*squints at cover* That's the first time I hear of that magazine - does it deal with SC, West Japan and GP France, as the headlines say? It says something about Kazuki making a victorious comeback, I wonder if they mean West Japan? The letters are too small.
I had to lol at the image of Kazuki as pinup girl. I wonder if he sees this stuff and gets a good laugh himself.

I'm pretty sure he's seen it! He follows this fan artist on Twitter and has liked several of her illustrations, including this hilarious one depicting a Kazuki, Sota and Mitsuki eating yakiniku after Sectionals

BTW, did you guys see he retweeted a music video: https://twitter.com/ki_vi_ly/status/1095269671459184640
Quite a catchy song and very romantic! I'm glad the video has subtitles :)

Hi everyone, just a reminder Kazuki is participating tomorrow in another Autumn Sports Challenge event in Osaka!
https://www.city.osaka.lg.jp/keizaisenryaku/page/0000480823.html
He will be leading a 'Skating Experience' for fans, and also taking part in an ice show with other skaters such as Mitsuki Sumoto, Taichi Honda and Yuna Shiraiwa!
I hope he has loads of fun, and we get to see some photos :luv17:

I also found more nice pics from Rostelecom!

What does "skating experience" mean? A skating lesson with him? If yes, I'm envious of all the lucky fans who get the chance to be there

Amazingly beautiful photo!

It's a skating lesson by him and Osaka fed's instructors. They're accepting either 1) elementary student with chaperon or 2) a pair of adults (junior high school students or older) and 100 pairs in total, Osaka residents (and possibly the younger) will have priority, so barely a chance for those outside Osaka area. (And up to 800 people for the ice show alone, meaning only 1000 people get the luck!)

Prince Ice World announced Tomono-kun's entry as an additional guest skater in Hiroshima.

And Fujiskate's notice on their scheduled introduction tweets of skaters (for Nats) tomorrow:

Thanks for the updates, Tsurara! I'm super happy that he's going to be at PIW again, although such a shame he and Shoma won't be doing the same dates...
Looking forward to the introduction tweet, although I feel they're introducing him too early! He's one of the main attractions, so he should have been left for towards the end... :scowl:

So, it seems that Osaka's City Skating Experience and Ice show was a success! Here are a couple of pics from the event:
https://twitter.com/boomsports/status/1200660114027364352 (the second pic shows Kazuki teaching a child - cute! :luv17:)

He performed Moulin Rouge, his layout: 3T 4S StSq 3S 3A CCoSp 3Lz 2F CCoSp?
This suggests he might try two quad salchows in the free!? :eeking: And what's happening to his flip!? :eeking:
Are you trying to kill us, Kazuki... :drama:

So here's his Nats preview tweet: https://twitter.com/online_on_ice/status/1200699545165778944

Kazuki also participated yesterday in the Osaka Prefecture Sports tournament (free skate only). He won the event with a score of 151.25. His layout: 4Tfall 4S2T 1A 3Lo 3A2T 3Lz 3F1Eu2S (he's not changing his layout, phew!). Mitsuki Sumoto finished 2nd and Taichi Honda, 3rd. Here's an article (in Japanese) https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20191201-12010932-nksports-spo

Mitsuki posted a lovely photo of the trio at the event: https://www.instagram.com/p/B5h45i6pOps/ and also an IG story showing they went to eat yakiniku afterwards!
