(Sorry, I think I had failed posting the right URL earlier!)
Kazuki Tomono, looking different from a year ago: Experiences he gained from his first GPS overseas
(Note: His 'first' GPS held overseas, as his very first GPS was NHK Trophy in Japan, as a substitute for Dice M.)
The competition was on one of Fuji's CS channels (Fuji Two) so, yes. I'm pleased that I got to watch it. (Sad to find quite a few empty seats though)Congrats to Kazuki, this is an important confidence boost for him before GP Russia!
Tsurara, do you happen to know if the competition was televised as was originally planned?
Have you guys checked InTheLoop podcast? I hadn't, and I'm glad I actually bothered to do so!!!
Tomono-kun really needs to be more confident with what he's doing. His interview today gave me a very slight concern with his comment on short program, mentioning his struggle with it, though he sounds like he is now VERY confident with his free. Media coverage didn't seem to have covered that part much, and unfortunately I forgot exactly how he put it (curse my memory), so I'm translating an article published after SP and wait for the latest one after FS till a video or something comes out (hopefully) and check it again (so as not to make unnecessary fuss over it in case it was just me - I love his MR very much too, but please understand that I desperately CRAVE for his clean Chroma!).
Thank you so much, Tsurara-san! :luv17:I found the after-FS interview video on Instagram with its transcript too! I'll just follow that and ignored the questions.

Ahh! Thanks, somehow I didn't think about looking it up in a dictionary Thought it was one of those gibberish terms coming from hypes lol (My Swedish friends would surely yell at me for saying this...oops)BTW, 'smorgasbord' is a Swedish word that is normally used in English to describe a huge quantity and variety of something (basically a feast): https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/smorgasbord
As for his interviews after FS, I did translate the video one by Fuji, but besides that, there was also a media session and apparently media covered it elsewhere but totally butchered and only released bits and pieces from it, adding their views, instead of his raw words with context. AndI'm looking forward to see what he said after the FS. I think it's only natural for him to be nervous with the SP, since it's such a risky layout and something completely new for him - I know his FS layout is a bit different, but he was already doing 2 quads in the FS before. Like you, I desperately crave for clean Chroma since I think it just what he needs to overcome his nerves. As usual, I'm glad he's so down to Earth and self-aware!
That is one of them, along with this one after SP.BTW, did you see there was another Asahi article (behind paywall): https://www.asahi.com/articles/ASMC35F2YMC3UTQP01W.html
Hi everyone, since ISU a couple of days ago uploaded on his Youtube channel the full broadcast of 2018 Worlds (among other stuff) I've just watched Kazuki's performances in Milan again; I have to admit I feel so melancholy now, like an old lady who thinks of when she was young
I've just realized that we haven't seen Kazuki skating so clean and free of pressure since that time, maybe pressure it's not the right word if we think of his tears after the sp but those were tears of relief and joy so it was somehow different from the pressure he is facing now. Also both programs were so perfect for him, like a tailored suit. :luv17:
Is there anyone else who feels the same and wants to travel back in time and bring his happiness back? I mean I know he is working hard to come back stronger and to show a more mature skate but I wish he could also keep his old spirit
That is one of them, along with this one after SP.
Then I saw this article from Doshisha Atom which wasn't butchered as much as others, and I started working on it halfway when I had time... and then, I saw a lot better one released by TVguide here and decided to do it instead. Sorry for taking so long, but I've had very busy weeks lately. My translation is coming after this post.
HAHAHA I had seen the fan art and I wondered where the idea came from! Glad to know that they went to eat Yakiniku togetherP.S.
I almost forgot to mention...

That drawing idea is coming from Fuji's official tweet

with their tags saying, "#Road to Nats #3 RinSpo Brothers #yesterday #went to eat Yakiniku together #no mistakes hopefully at Nats"
