Fell and missed + combo  but other than that it was lovely, I think the spins looked better than in practise. I did think he looked a bit nervous before.

Well done Kazuki  now I just have to wait two days for Riverdance!!

Well, on the bright side, he did land that 4S as we hoped! Too bad he fell and missed the combo, but we've still got Riverdance :)

Yah, he obviously was nervous going first and with more expectations from you, comes more pressure. But that is what the experience of competition is all about which something he surely didn't get a lot of yet. Hopefully he gets better at handling that with time.

It wasn't the perfect 4S but yah was happy he landed it.

Wishing him the best with the Free  I am excited that we will finally be able to see Riverdance.

Aww no, he looks so sad in the twitter photo in gsk8 post! Is that from the Lombardia press conference? There's still Saturday for Kazuki, so I hope he cheers up! Even the best mess up now and then. I hope he puts the combo issue behind him, and that the fed aren't breathing down his neck too much.
:ghug: for Kazuki!

He was still smiling after the performance though :) May be he was later a bit sad with him being in 5th Place after the short (BTW, Matteo Rizzo surely surprised me ^^). But hopefully this will just be a push forward in the free

Here is his SP performance. I was quite nervous watching it live but when I rewatched, I teared up watching the step seq in the second half. He was that good for me

Congratulations to Kazuki on his new SP PCS PB (was 36.54, now 37.40) and for his +GOE Stsq4! http://www.fisg.it/upload/result/4802/CSITA2018_Men_SP_Scores.pdf
Considering he was able to renew his personal best SP component score regardless of the jump error and usually struggles with his step sequence levels this result is definitely a positive.
So far it seems Misha's choreography and training is paying off. I hope Kazuki continues to perform his SP with the same commitment and quality throughout the season.

Usually Kazuki tends to be a stronger FS skater however, hearing how choreographically packed and difficult his Riverdance program is sort of concerns me.
Even if the jumps aren't all there, I want him to sell that program and blow everyone away with his performance. :dance3:

EDIT: Don't worry about Kazuki. Not sure when the photo was taken but I saw that tweet by gsk8 on my TL well before his SP.

There were lots of good signs. Lovely step sequence and 3A. I really do like this programme, I'm sure it will get better and better.
I am pretty nervous about the packed free, but I still really want to see it, just have to keep telling myself it's only the start of the season
As long as there are no injuries please boys

Yah, same here. As much as I am excited to watch it but also quite concerned too. I really hope that the first look on the program internationally will be a version Kazuki is somehow satisfied about and that he can show what he can do in it.

Anyway, I am personally quite happy that he is invested and involved with the music of all his 3 programs this season and hopefully this season treat him well and help him solidify his place.

PCS are still a wonder for me. Can't really get how those elements are scored. But I would be really happy to see Kazuki having majority of eights by the end of this season.

Poor Kazuki having to go first! I didn't envy him that. He looked nervous, but he still did well. I'm anxious to see his Riverdance on Saturday!

Just realized tomorrow's FS will overlap with my Japanese class and I won't be able to see Kazuki yet again, argh! :hslap: Anyway, best of luck to Kazuki tomorrow. I know he can do it and end up on that podium. Fingers crossed!

FP practice today, if we're lucky someone will record it again

Edit: !!!! https://twitter.com/cantileverlove/status/1040560606032666624

Thanks!! we finally hear the edit not just imagining how it will be :D

I think he wasn't able to show all what the program has in the practice but despite that, there is quite exciting parts there. Hopefully he will have enough energy during the competition and end up with a good performance tomorrow

It looks very promising to me, the step and choreo sq look like they are going to be great. He is always so good with his hands! The practice was fun to watch, and when he's really selling it it'll be awesome :hap10:

Here is another link to Kazuki’s sp..

I have loved Kazuki since last year’s NHK.

His choreography was amazing! He has committed to his hand movements since last season, and it takes a really good skater to make a slow piece look that good.
No doubt he will improve as the season goes on, and I can’t wait to see his LP, I have not seen it posted anywhere yet.

That was a solid run through! His planned layout looks to be 4S-2T, 4S, 3A-Eu-3S, FSSp, Stsq, 3Lo, 3A-3T, 3F, FCCoSp, 3Lz, Chsq, CCoSp.

So no 4T for now, which is totally fine since he plans to give us all heart attacks with the new 3A-Eu-3S instead. :eeking::shocked: <--- my actual reaction to seeing him jump that combo.
I'm not worried about the 3A, just about him having enough control and flow to successfully connect the Eu-3S to it. (Kazuki has mentioned in he past that combination jumps are challenging for him)

That step sequence tho! And that was with him stopping twice in the middle of it. When performed in full it should be FIRE!

Best of Luck to Kazuki with his FS! Though I won't be able to watch him skate live, I'll definitely be telepathically sending him all my positive vibes.
