Haha I don't think Kazuki will have any problems
I so wish I could watch... I bet they'll share lots of nice stories from the past

Quadruple Axel 2020 (6/18/20) Q&A

Q: Describe your personality
Kazuki: I am very curious. I get curious about everything. I am interested in many things and I want to try my hand at everything.

Q: If you were an animal what would you be?
Kazuki: People around me often tell me that I’m like a dog. So I’m probably a dog (laughs). The type of dog is perhaps….. Shiba Inu?

Q: What was the most nerve-racking incident in your life?
Kazuki: It’s definitely the short program at the 2018 Worlds. I thought it was make-or-break time and my skating life depended on it. I have never been so nervous before or since in my life.

Q: What do your costumes mean to you?
Kazuki: They direct and promote my style and the characteristics of my programs. First there is my performance and the costume complements my character. The costume I like best is “Moulin Rouge.”

Q: Right after you come back from overseas competition, what food do you crave the most?
Kazuki: Ramen! Then Korean BBQ. Whenever I come back to Japan I always go out to eat them.

Q: If you had not chosen to be a skater, what would you be doing?
Kazuki: I would be leading an ordinary life. I might be doing some sports, but because I chose skating I have been able to work hard at it, so I would be an ordinary college student.

Thank you so much, rRainbow! :thank:
Haha Kazuki does seem like a dog person, being so curious and everything
I'm always amazed at how down to earth he is!

huh, isn't 200 too few considering Koshiro/Kazuki had 400? :scratch2:

It is way too few, and apparently they sold out in literally two minutes! :eeking:
So they will sell an additional 200 tickets tomorrow: https://twitter.com/JPlanningIntl/status/1282117473483931650

In other news, FS Life magazine will draw an amazing gift: Kazuki's hat from his 'Fate of the Police Dog' EX, autographed!

Meanwhile, Kazuki had a 'ramen day' yesterday: https://twitter.com/naniwatomono/status/1281799258006360065 :luv17:

haha, I saw the news this morning too :D Apparently, fans complained and sent requests to FS Life, and the ticket number was doubled.
I wonder what the participants need to do to win Kazuki's hat ^ ^ What a nice idea. I wonder if they will sell it - if so, maybe it will be used for charity? Or a rink? Or Kazuki's training?

Thanks for the link!
I used google translate so my impressions may not correspond to what he actually said, but I'll say them anyway.
- the haircut in the rope jump photo is actually cool! ^ ^ I am not a fan of brown hair on Kazuki, I think black is just fine, but the messy hairstyle fits Kazuki's energetic persona so well IMO!
- I am pleased to hear Kazuki studied nutrition and at the same time likes to eat all sorts of food. It sounds like you can be a top skater without having any eating disorders or strict diets, and that makes me happy.
- he wants to succeed with all three quads in the free. Someone please help me out, did he do so this past season? I can't remember.
- sauna is a cool hobby. I don't recall it mentioned before ^ ^
- studying Chinese must be very popular at Japanese universities? Sota studied it too, and like Kazuki he was struggling.
- lol, Google translate translated 'penmanship' as 'prison system', and Wakaba's name in the links below, as Shiba Higuchi ^ ^
- anyhow, good luck with the penmanship lessons! It would be so handy for me if he ended up producing kanji like the ones in books, because I had a super hard time identifying e.g. 'kenkou' in the message he wrote. He wishes/prays for everyone's good health and safety ^ ^

Too bad I have learned that there is no photo posing time for fans this time :[ We without tickets will be stuck with a few photos from before the talkshow starts. Sigh... I hope the boys post something new on social media soon.

Towards the end of the season he tried to add a second qual sal to the second half of his FS, but unfortunately he ended up popping (like at 4CC) or falling.

Your wish is Kazuki's command - he posted this earlier: https://twitter.com/KiraraChin/status/1284850191863078912 :luv17:

Everyone! Kazuki attended Team Japan's annual training camp and revealed he's recycling both SP and FS! :drama:
He said he tried the online choreography for 'Life is Beautiful' but in the end it was hard to make it work without being in person.
Here's the interview, in Japanese but works with Google Translate: https://www.nikkansports.com/sports/news/202007210000378.html
I must say I'm heartbroken, I was really looking forward to seeing new programmes from him! But at least he won't be the only one in Team Japan recycling...

He also confirmed he will have 3 quads in the free, and landed both 4T3T and 4S at the training camp's SP run-through!

Look at it from the bright side, Kirara - his Life Is Beautiful will probably remain for the important Olympic season, and he already has a head start on it. :) Also, he's picked programs he's already familiar with, and that could help him succeed in landing those three quads.

Oh no! I was looking forward to seeing Life is beautiful too :sad21: I hope he'll save it for the Olympic season… but maybe, as surimi said, this year is better to recycle, also his MR was very much appreciated this year and it might give him that extra confidence that he needs

I doubt we’ll see that many competitions this season (if at all this year) anyways so I guess recycling is the way to go... no complaints from me because I love the Free! I do wish he will change the costume for the short program though :p
