My version of his Junior Worlds SP is watermark-free (No Commentary 720p): https://streamable.com/94995

Shame about the hand down on the 3A, but he's only about 4.5 points away from 1st, so Joseph still has a very good shot at a medal. :)

Not the finish he wanted for sure. But on the bright side, he had a great SP and a SB there! Congrats on that and good luck next season!

P.S. I almost had a meltdown in the stands on that fall. He scared me half to death :sad4:

Great interview, mostly focused on his last season.

I didn't know that he had to go back to a high school just because of moving to Toronto.
Wish him to fulfill his goals next season!

For those you who didn't check the Quebec Summer Championships thread, I'm finally active again on this forum after going "missing" for several months. To make a long story short, I did finally get the operation that I needed for my life-threatening condition, so I'm no longer in danger of dying, but my recovery isn't going as well as hoped, so if my current symptoms don't improve after a certain amount of time, I may have to undergo another medical procedure. :eek:hwell:

Here are my fancams of Jo from that competition, which he won :medal" :

Jo grew by an inch compared to last year, so he's now 5'11".

In case anyone was curious, my new avatar is his peace sign and gold medal from my (super adorable! ) photo with him.

I was the recipient of that beautiful beaming smile of his a few times last weekend. Jo is 18 now (his birthday was Aug. 4th), and his appearance has noticeably changed since I last saw him a year ago. He looks like a young man now, not the teenager that I knew previously, although he remains as endearing as ever. :luv17:

It's 2 weeks late, but Patinage Québec has finally made the archived livestreams for the Quebec Summer Championships accessible to the public (they were set to private before), so I've cut this performance from the video file I've downloaded.

LP: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7hfgdh Unlike the YouTube version, my vid includes Jo's replay and kiss & cry.

Unfortunately, the Junior Men SP is nowhere to be found (this event wasn't livestreamed), so we have to assume the official footage is non-existent due to a technical glitch. You'll have to go back to my fancam for that particular performance.

Jo's mother recently informed me that there's one item among the birthday goodies that I gave to him in Pierrefonds that Jo absolutely adores, and he uses it daily ever since he returned to Toronto. Wow, I'm so thrilled that he's very happy with at least one my gifts!!! :dance2:

I like to call Roman Sadovsky "my Princeling" and Nicolas Nadeau "my King", but I believe Joseph Phan is destined to become my Emperor! (His long program music is "Emperor Concerto." ) It's so fitting that his costume is purple, which is a regal colour.

I'm catching up on uploading a few videos that I've neglected during the tail end of last season due to my health issues.

2019 Junior Worlds Gogolev + Phan Coming Up Promo (CBC 720p): https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7jhc1p

2019 Junior Worlds Canadian Men Preview (CBC 720p): https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7jkxxp Jo is only mentioned briefly.

2019 Junior Worlds LP (CBC 720p): https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7jh915 His SP wasn't aired on Canadian television.

His ISU bio has finally been updated ( http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00015182.htm ), and he's now listed as 180 cm, so I was right when I estimated his new height to be 5'11".

A picture of him was used in a Skate Canada press release announcing the JGP Riga entries: https://skatecanada.ca/2019/09/canadian-skaters-headed-to-latvia-for-junior-grand-prix-3/
