This team needs a thread here. Last season was her 1st season as an ice dancer and I was really impressed how good they looked. Now they look even better. Too bad for the mistake they did yesterday but nevertheless this was a good JGP debut for them. Well done.

They have been assigned to JGP Poland but one has to remember that changes are possible if other Russian teams does better at their 1st JGP event than what Liza & Nikita did at their JGP event.

Will have to wait and see how it goes but one might expect that Russian Fed will most likely replace Liza & Nikita with Arina & Maksim because U/N scored a lot better than K/N. They both won a bronze medal at their 1st JGP event and Russian Fed have only one "free" JGP spot for bronze medalists.

Their situation is very similar to Konkina/Yakushev, both teams have only one junior season left and neither teams is yet to skate at Junior Worlds. Next season they will have their chances because at the moment top teams are pretty even. Ushakova/Nekrasov and Shevchenko/Eremenko might start next season as the top two favourites but they are only slighly ahead of next group of three teams, Polishchuk/Vakhnov, Khudaiberdieva/Nazarov and Konkina/Yakushev. It will be very interesting to see which three teams will make it to the Junior Worlds next year.

Khudaiberdieva/Nazarov's chance to make it to the JGP Final and Junior Worlds have improved significantly now that both Polishchuk/Vakhnov and Konkina/Yakushev have split up. Although, I am sure that both new teams, Konkina/Vakhnov and Polishchuk/Yakushev, will be competitive teams already next season. They may or may not be ready when Russia's JGP teams are selected but I am sure they will be ready for the Russian Junior Nationals.

Still no JGP assignment for them. I would have thought that they would have been switched to JGP Slovakia but that hasn't happen, atleast not yet. If Russian Fed don't switch them to JGP Slovakia then they will have to put K/N with the same event with either U/N or S/E which is less than ideal situation. In any case I am sure that they will get 2 JGP events but apparently they don't get their 1st event untill the 5th JGP event.

Russian Fed has done some changes for their JGP Austria assignments but they didn't do any changes for their ice dance entries neither in Slovakia nor in Austria, so, I guess they will send two not very good teams to JGP Slovakia for some reason. And now K/N will have to wait quite a bit before they can skate their 1st JGP event.

Well, better really really late than never. K/N has replaced Ivanenko/Karpov at JGP Slovakia.

It is somewhat weird that Russian Fed did this on sunday but I am not complaining.
