This is a very promising ice dance team. Last season they medaled at both JGP events but they didn't make it to the JGP final. This season they did very well at JGP Belarus where they almost beat S/A. They were 3rd at JGP Minsk.

They placed 7th at the 2017 Russian Junior Nationals.

She is born on 27 June 2002. He is born on 27 September 2000. They are coached by Alexei Gorshkov and Maxim Bolotin.

This season is their 3rd season together.

Arina & Maxim scored higher than what Liza & Nikita scored at their 1st JGP event and it will be interesting to see which team will get a 2nd JGP event. At the moment Liza & Nikita are assigned to JGP Croatia but that might change. Both teams won bronze at their 1st event but only one of these teams can have a 2nd JGP event.

I want them to qualify in JGP Finals. She is such a fireball reminds me of Elena Radionova, so much spunk and confidence.

Assuming P/V will win JGP Italy then Arina & Maxim need to be 2nd with a minimum score of 140.64 points. They scored 142.94 points at their 1st JGP event, so, they can totally make it to the JGP Final but they need to skate well obviously.

I have been super impressed by Arina and Maxim all season:
! What a solid first season on the JGP! They have been very consistent throughout! Their “Be Italian” FD is seriously one of a kind. And the fact that they manage to pull it off the way they do is impressive all in itself! Congrats to them on their well deserved WJC bronze medal! Best of luck to them in the future! Can’t wait to see how they progress and already curious to see what they will do next season!!:)

Now that the junior worlds are over I can finally say my opinion :).

I try not to get too excited about juniors since they have long way to go and a lot of things to go through especially in RU and they not always stay around for as much as I want to, but I will give it a try. Since the first time I saw them this year I was totally in love. They were the one team that moved me in that way on first sight in a long time, the previous one is already a history. I posted video of theirs and was showing it to all my closed friends and colleagues not interested in figure skating.

I was so happy that the worlds will be in Sofia and I will be able to see them live. They were anything I imagined they will be, super fast, technically perfect, edgy, thanks as well to their coaches and choreographers for the great elements and style they gave them. I will save the details about my present and encounter with them. But they were really sweet, polite, down to earth and very mature behavior for their age.

I didn't want to gush over them because of jinxing them, I didn't post anything about the Olympics for the same reason and now all my favorites won. But if with my comment I make more people to pay attention to them it is worth trying. I dont want to say big things or share what I wished them, I know that especially for the Russian teams it is really hard to have long and successful career, I will just keep supporting them and hope for the very best, taking it one season at a time. Thanks for this season and good luck in the next one.

Yep, they had a great season indeed, they made it to the JGP Final and then pleasantly surprised us with a Junior Worlds medal. They did a great job and I am also really looking forward to see how they will do next season.

This season wasn't their first JGP season though but a 2nd season. They already got two JGP bronze medals last season, so, they were pretty competitive team already last season.

Now that it looks like Carreira / Ponomarenko will move to seniors along with Skoptsova / Aleshin and Shpilevaya / Smirnov things start to look really really good for this team. Also it doesn't hurt them that some of the TOP Russian teams have split up, like Polishchuk / Vakhnov and Konkina / Yakushev. On paper all this should mean that Ushakova / Nekrasov would be the top team next season but obviously we will have to wait and see how it goes. In any case things look very good for them now.

I mean no offence, but why does she look so scarily thin? It's distractingly painful to watch this video.

Their free dance is so different. This balkan music mesh is interesting choice and they are a unique couple. Glad they have chosen to stand out. :)
