Here it is: the thread to talk about all things generally 7k, so we don't need to keep cramping the Jason thread, the Mariah thread, and bumping up the Rohene thread for our discussions, speculations and musings.

Isn't it amazing how Kori Ade, after being snubbed by the World Arena, has built a world class center in two years? Since it is impossible to post all videos associated with 7k in an OP (at least for me ), let's start with the basics:

7k's website:

http://www.skate7k.com/

Instagram for 7k:

Instagram for the talented and feisty Kori Ade:

https://instagram.com/sk8coachirok/

Instagram for the ever fabulous Rohene Ward, choreographer extraordinaire:

Instagram for quad coach Vincent Restencourt:

and one video to start us off, Mariah Bell and her new long (?)

and Jordan Moeller trains the quad:

Let's go, team 7k! :cheer:

Speaking of Jordan. I would not be shocked if he ends up being 7k's first skater to land a quad in competition. Vincent posted a clip that has a balance check at the end but looks to be on one foot and right at the line of not getting a UR.

Also a clip with a fall where Vincent think Jordan will land it next week.
https://instagram.com/p/7gsJJFCf6n/... now if he can just get an assignment.

In more general news a number of skaters are skating at Skate Cleveland this weekend.

Me either! It's getting really close! He's got the snap into quick rotation down...Vincent is doing great work with both Jason and Jordan on the quad!

The link Icenetwork sent out was much easier for me to figure out how to zoom in to full screen and get a sliding bar at the bottom to you can advance frame by frameish.

Very happy for both of them. So looking forward to them both at Ice Challenge, especially Jordan, so happy he gets to go compete.

is France's Alex Zahradnicek officially training at 7k? Jason's snapchat (yes, I finally got snapchat uploaded, dear God what a counterintuitive app, and I think I sent USFS a very glum video of my nostrils) says that Alex is his training mate, and I believe other 7k photos over the summer show Alex.

I suspect Alex and Vincent came together. But Alex's ISU bio says he is with Priscilla Hill in Delaware. Not updated, am I looking at a cached version somewhere? Or is he training at 7k but not "coached" there?

Good luck to Alex at Ondrej Nepela! :cheer2:

As an update, I received a PM from a knowledgeable source confirming that Alex is officially at 7k. Ben Jalovick has also left Delaware for 7k.

As a native Philadelphian, a little sad to see good skaters leave Delaware (the only nationally ranked program within commuting distance of my home city, as far as know), but we all know Colorado is the skating place to be.:) And 7k the place to be in Colorado.

interview with Kori and Vincent (the Ko-cent or Korocent) at Skate America, including their open door policy for skaters like Courtney Hicks

loving the joke that a non 7k skater can leave with Vincent's jumps or Rohene's components, but not both :laugh2:

Just my own thoughts, and of course subject to the mods here, but:

I see the header for the thread is changed. This thread is not just Kori, unlike the "Team Russian Coaches" thread. I had also thought that we would post about skaters that Vincent or Rohene worked with, and not necessarily just students that Kori coached.

I know not everyone may recognize 7k, but maybe Team KoRo? (Or Korocent?)

Done. Note this changes the placement in an alphabetic list.

Thank you, Doris! I didn't want to sound as though I didn't understand the rationale, because I do, and too "inside baseball" is never a good thing. Or to add to the endless work you do here on the forum... :cheer2:

I love something that Vincent said: "As long as Kori Ade is coaching, U.S. Figure skating will be all right." I'm not sure where that clip is.

I hope this is okay. In line with your OP, where you suggest we can talk about how amazing it is that Kori has built up the 7K program in two years, after having been snubbed by World Arena, I want to post links to the two parts of TSL interview with Kori Ade, so people can listen if they haven't already. It is AWESOME.

Did I mention how awesome Kori is? Here's a teaser (but maybe everyone's heard it already; I'm fairly new here so I'm not sure. Do let me know if I'm being repetitive): During the first year, they didn't have heat in the Monument rink. Kori told Jason and Jordan: this is your time of adversity. Also, she said this is one way the Russians got so good -- they had to skate on poor ice, in subpar conditions, so then skating on perfect ice, they had an advantage.
