So I'm here a year or so later, people have probably forgotten about Nastya but here I am. I haven't seen her skate after Russian Cup Final where she had a wonderful performance especially in the sp and I was confused as to the gap between her and the girls who got a JGP assgnment and were scoring close to 70 in the sp, and neither Tarakanova, Sinitsyna, or the Panova girl shave posted anything with her in the rink. Apparently there was an exodus of skaters from the Snow LEopards rink due to some lack of training resources becuase it's one of the worse funded rinks in Moscow, which Anastasia Tarakanova mentioned when she left initially for Eteri in 2017.

I brought her up in the Russian Forum because she was next in line for jr national team reserve this season after Tarusina and Kanysheva retired and Vasilieva and Tarakanova were injured but it seems like she is no longer skating. Someone mentioned seeing her do a double throw with a partner, but we haven't heard of anything.

It's such a shame, she was one of those stars that didn't shine through, but she was a beautiful star that was never really treated or noticed properly. Her spins were such a beauty, such a charisma on the ice, and solid jumps that would've fit in an Olympic games. Well, we can say that for a lot of young Russian girls and I guess getting a little unlucky here or there really cost Nastya in this respect due to the insane depth.

Thank you for giving us your beautiful skating, and good luck in your future endeavors, Anastasia Kostyuk <3

Looks like Nastya has switched to pairs. According to the document published on the website of Moscow FS federation, she will train now in 'Vorobiyovy Gory' school. This is the school were Mozer teams train. Apparently she partnered up with Andrei Rud - here is a short video of them together: https://twitter.com/SashaWitchProj/status/1291121770276302848

Really, really hope it works. I think she can make a wonderful pair skater with her lines, musicality, good jumps etc. Wish her all the success in the future.

Yay! Nastya was one of my favorite up and coming Russian juniors so I was very disappointed when I heard she was retiring. At least now in pairs we might be able to see her on the ice! :luv17:

False alarm! I always thought that Nastya was one of the most underrated and underscored skaters in singles. The Panova snow leopards always are. But here she is in Mozer team! https://www.instagram.com/p/CEEWpmGphpK/

I'm not sure her partner, though there were videos of her with Andrei Rud. There was the Moscow junior championship this week and Mozer team was posting on instagram about their skaters (Mukhortova/Evgeniev won) and I did not see Nastya's name. Though understandably she may not be ready to compete yet. Hoping she will have a smooth transition and no puberty or partner struggles.

No matter ho far pairs can take her, I will be so happy to see her on the ice again!

Note: in the video, it seems there is not a great height difference between her and her partner. Is this a reason for concern?

Team Mozer is set to hold an event internally I believe, there is more details in the pairs thread.

Nastia and Andre are listed! And good news - they are both born in 2004. Not only will they understand each other better, but if she grows, he probably will too. Andre qualified for the Russian senior nationals in singles last year as an alternate, so he is certainly of a high level and has solid jumps and spins. He is also transitioning to pairs with Nastia, however.

Very excited to see Nastia in pairs skating! This team is young and exciting.

Nastia and Andre Rud together in their first performances in pairs. They only did 2A - probably triples are not allowed at the level they are at. They only have a single twist and no change position spins, as both are new to pairs.

Nastia is as beautiful and elegant as ever. I hope that one day they will show their triple triples. THough I am confused about her decision to go to pairs because of her weight issues - wouldn't it be more severe in pairs?
