I don't know a lot about Juan Gabriel either but this is definitely not "Hasta que te Conocí" so it must be his new FS. Glad he can get to practice it with public!

I was trying really hard to hear the words to see it it was the new FS, but I couldn't tell if there was an echo or the sound was muffled. Couldn't understand a word!...I heard he is from Zapopan. I've been there!

I am not a big Juan Gabriel fan so I can't be sure, but it seems like it's his new FS music?

Yes it is.

Article of Televisa Deportes "Donovan Carrillo, first Mexican skater leader": https://deportes.televisa.com/otros...rrillo-primer-mexicano-destacado-en-patinaje/
Charismatic, what he enjoys the most is skating, dancing, he never loses his smile even though behind there are thousands of hours of training, the sacrifice of leaving his family in Guadalajara and moving to León. Worlds was an important goal, but his dream, to compete in the Olympic Games, is still to be fulfilled. "I see it close, because it has been a lot of work, I believe that if I continue with the same pace of training and skills that I have carried so far that goal is going to become reality." In August he starts the junior series of Grand Prix and in November he will skate in Mexico, in the National Championship, while in the World Ch., we will see him again next year and, perhaps his Olympic debut will be in Beijing 2022.

Article of ESTO "Donovan Carrillo wants to make history in the Artistic Skating": https://www.esto.com.mx/359227-donovan-carrillo-quiere-hacer-historia-en-el-patinaje-artistico/
"My dream of when I was a child was the Olympic Games and now what started as a dream has already become a goal, now I am working very hard to fulfill what it is and to the Olympic Games of 2022." The goal for this new season is to make jumps with greater difficulty. "As it is a triple axel, quadruple jumps, which are jumps that are making the best skaters in the world, I hope to be doing to enter the group of elite skaters who perform them". For now he has already planned his competitions, attending the Four Continents and then the Junior and Senior Worlds.

Small article in "El Diario NTR": Skating to get to Beijing http://www.ntrguadalajara.com/post.php?id_nota=100087
"I am training very hard, my base is Guanajuato and here I am preparing these new elements (triple axel, some quads) that are very complex in technique, but I trust that I will achieve it". The season will have more difficult jumps to open route towards the Beijing Winter Olympic Games 2022. "I was a few weeks in Jalisco, someone commented on the possibility that that I could stay there and even teach, that isn't planned and for now It is not possible, because my strong training is in Guanajuato. "

Good luck Donovan :yay:

Wow so he is really practicing those hard jumps! I hope he doesn´t hurt himself, maybe he will not incorporate the 3A next season but i'm happy that he is improving!, I hope he does well in his last junior season with Andrea Montesinos, and I don´t know maybe he could get a junior grand prix medal, everything is posible

Donovan will participate in the Lion Cup 2018 from June 15 to 17, at the Ice Sports Center ice rink, according to the "Heraldo" http://www.heraldoleon.mx/donovan-estrenara-rutina/ , he will present his two new routines (the information on the note is not very up-to-date, apparently he doesn't know that he premiered his FS in Interlomas) :yahoo:

I hope someone is encouraged to record

It seems like there is some competition in Mexico City atm because we were at a rink in another big mall (Santa Fe) watching the ladies and I saw Donovan here buying food. I was too shy to go greet him sonce he wasn't skating...perhaps tomorrow??

OMC! I would have run after him for an autograph (well, maybe I would have waited for him to finish eating) :hap85:

Some fan of Interlomas drew an alebrije dedicated to Donovan and he shared it on his facebook account (he is inspired by the FS of last season) :luv17:

I found a video of the 2018 Copa León in Instagram but I lost the link (I'm sorry, I really was looking for it, he wasn't in tango rhythm, maybe samba?) but in the DeporteDigital page on facebook a little interview has been shared that they did to Doonovan during the 2018 Copa León "Donovan Carrillo delights the public in León Guanajuato"

I know that Donovan will be teaching at the Ice Complex the last week of July http://icecomplex.com/ :cool14:

I solved the mystery, Donovan was in the 5th Copa Santa Fe, not as a participant, apparently as an advisor to the novice competitors, as I saw in Donovan's fans facebook, he won an apple wach or something similar and he looked happy

Since he is turning 19 in November he can still do the JGP. Does anyone know of his plans?

My understanding is that Donovan intends to do the JGP; I believe I read that in the Mexican articles kindly linked here. And also do Senior Worlds again. He obviously would like to improve his WS.

Fingers crossed:hap10:

Ah thank you, I looked back but couldn't find it. No wonder tbh, my head's killing me today :palmf: Fingers crossed, sounds like the wisest choice for him! Hopefully he can slot in one or more of the smaller events too for those points.
