Interesting: Starr Andrews and Andrew Torngashev in single senior categories. It's nice the USFSA has decided to send its skaters to one of the season's final competitions.
Also, quite an impressive representation of Italian senior Ladies: Piredda, Rodeghiero, Gennaro, Gutmann, Leccardi and Olivotto (on a side note, except for Roberta Rodeghiero, all Italian ladies have one consonant doubled in their surnames :) Is it something typical in Italy?)

it depends on the regional origin of the surname or if it comes from a foreign word/name/job (italy was conquered by many people ). piredda is clearly sardinian, gutmann german but she is from sud-tyrol so she might be part of a linguistic and ethnic minority (we got sud-tyrol after wwI, it was austrian before), gennaro is very likely from southern italy and it's a patronymic

Congrats to Isabelle Inthisone for a solid win in advanced novice! Won by 5 points on her first (I think?) international outing. Good for her. :)
