Anna Pogorilaya is getting married
This off-season has been crazy!
CaroLiza_fan

As a married woman Anna becomes confident as never before, what together with perfect health let her to slay at Nats, Europeans and Worlds consecutively. It creates quite new trend among skaters to get married during their competetive career. So many skaters want to marry that clubs organize joint weddings. Only Eteri meets a problem as her girls are still underage...

Takahashi returns, but has decided to return to ice dance. His partner is Miyahara who is disgruntled over the rule changes around under-rotations. They win the OGM in 2022, and P/C are quite annoyed.

Seeing how popular Aljona, Daisuke, Carolina and other older skaters are, the ISU creates a new event : the professional figure skating Grand Prix Series.

Skaters compete at the same events as the amateur skaters, but in a different category, wish shorter programs focused on performance and skating skills. Only 5 jumping passes are allowed, one of the 3 combos becomes a series of 3-4-5 jumps. Creativity is encouraged. The crowd loves the format which is then adopted by the IOC.

I know this is the crazy predictions thread, but I actually really want this to happen.

Yuzu learns the 4A, 5S and 4T+4T this season from Mr. Brian Awesome and announces his hunt for the OWG Hattrick.
There he skates his SP to Yagudin's Winter and his FS to Plushy's Nijinsky to become the 100% unquestionable GOAT. Eventually.
At the EX gala he does a throw octuple Axel with Pooh-san, announces his retirement and starts THE career as a beekeeper to ensure a honey supply for life.

Brilliant!

Well, stolbova may have changed partners, so there's that...

funny... i'd like to rephrase this but i don't know the news...

if i had predicted it i would have said

Klimov, sick of passing for a doormat dumps Stolbova. The ice queen starts crying heavily, her tears stick to her frozen stare and she turns into an ice statue. She is kept safely in an appropriate freezer... and shown at different skating galas until at IdF, the heat at the ice rink just isn't properly controlled and she melts down into a puddle...

The ISU merges the SP and the FP into one programme and then removes jumps, spins and choreography. The new programme requirements are that skaters have to skate laps around the rink as quickly as possible, with the quickest time winning. The ISU coins the term "speed skating" to describe the new rules. Nobody is a fan but everyone can at least agree that the judging is far less controversial.

So, does Speedy get specially re-elected first? Sounds like his dream.

26. Seeing the success of Dubreuil/Lauzon and Orser in the ice dance and singles disciplines respectively, pairs teams announce at the end of the season that they will be switching to Gadbois/TCC. Orser mainly looks after the TES while D/L looks after the PCS of the pairs skaters. An intermediate skating school/residence is established in Kingston for the skaters, as a pitstop between the two schools, when they travel along Autoroute 20/Highway 401. Practice videos of exceptional step sequences and SBS 3As start showing up.

Plot twist: the school in Kingston, meant initially as an intermediary between Toronto and Montreal, actually becomes the most successful. TCC and Gadbois eventually shut their doors and Kingston, Ontario becomes the epi-centre of the skating universe. Tragically Hip songs become the new war horses.

Uhm...

And so Kingston locals have yet another town vs gown gripe, and move further away from the lake...

International judges are befuddled by a rash of Canadian patriotic war of 1812 themed programs...

Meanwhile skating coaches build homes on Wolfe Island and bring new profile to campaigns to improve the ferry and contain the unsightly wind farm (while supporting environmentally sustainable alternatives..)

and that causes the final argument for Quebec's independence.... RIchard Gauthier, pissed off, Bruno and Meagan on his sides go talk to MFD and upstage a coup.

A wall is build between Ontario and Quebec.... dance teams easily come back to Gadbois... single skaters remain in Ontario but pair teams are conflicted though Gauthier wins most back....

Charlie Bilodeau. takes advantage of his Prime Minister looks and talks to the population, explaining how once again, as Montreal was the most important town in Canada, they have tried to transfer things across the border.... He pushes for a referendum and gets the results expected by him only....

Ravi, inspired, decided to build walls around Edmonton....

Canada doesn't really split apart but becomes the Skating Republic of Canada where each center operates their own program.

They skate under a unified flag at the Olympics to win the gold team event every 4 years.
