Hello! I am thinking of getting an off ice spinner to practice my spins with. So far I've seen 2 different types

Are there any major differences between those types? does it matter than the ballet one is concave where the foot is supposed to be? (turnboard type spinners are cheaper and more accessible where I live)
A bit more background on my needs: I've been working on and off on a basic scratch spin for a couple months now. My main problem is that I can't seem to stay spinning on my rocker for more than 1-2 revs and I almost always end up pitched on my toepick or sometimes doing inside loops. I figured I'd practice controlling/holding my balance with a spinner
