Ravel String Quartet in F Major (2nd movement)
Ravel Ondine
Chopin Ballade 4
Chopin Barcarolle

Schubert Moments Musicaux
Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto 1,4
Sibelius Violin Concerto
Dvorak Rusalka: Song to the Moon (the instrumental version w/ Yo Yo Ma)
Shostakovich Piano Concerto 2 and Piano Quintet

I love the Chopin selections.

Has anyone ever used Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto 4 before?
I think that Midori Ito used Rachmaninoff 1 as well as 2 at the 1992 Olympics - but other than that I can't recall anyone else.

"Orinoco Flow" or "Carribean Blue" by Enya

Or 'Boadicea'. So atmospheric. Brings back so many memories of a particularly terrifying cold open from Criminal Minds...

I'd also love to see someone skate to the soundtracks from Stage Beauty and Their Finest. And in terms of classical, or more specifically baroque, can't someone give the Brandenburg Concertos some love?

Sibelius Violin Concerto in D minor, especially https://youtu.be/1zAmXJ9naIg?t=14m21s (up to 15:03); I am surprised that this piece has not been used for skating (that is, among such limited number of programs as I've witnessed thus far), except for Korpi's 2015 LP, the display of which unfortunately fell through due to her injury/withdrawal.

in terms of baroque would be great if some men skated to lully's "marche des trucs", of course in a louis XIV costume; also i'd love to see some programs on a baroque opera aria

I think this could be a nice program for some very expressive and musical lady.

Ooh, I love Aurora, I think Runaway would make for a very dramatic and piercing piece!

I've personally been hoping for some lady or other to skate to Daughter's Youth--I think it's even got enough of a rise-and-fall cadence that it might escape some of the worse music doctoring that goes on in skating

I really want to see Vanessa and Morgan skating to a Bodyguard-Medley. Don't know why, but I see Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner in these two every single time...

I would love to see a dance programme to By the Light of the Silvery Moon, partly because I have a soft spot for Doris Day and also because this film features what I think is my earliest memory of seeing any form of ice skating onscreen - coincidentally they are ice dancing...

I'd also really like to see some Sigur Ros - total BBC music but Hoppipolla moves a lot of people I feel? Also, Outro by M83 because I love it.
I feel like Maggie Rogers' music could be well utilised in ice dance - particularly Falling Water.

I don't really have any skaters in mind tbh, just songs I'd love to see!

oh! Also, the Call Me By Your Name soundtrack too please

The allowance of lyrics has really opened a lot of potential. Skaters are still wedded to the "warhorses," which tend to be instrumental pieces that have great range and emotion. But there are so many modern songs that tell amazing stories and are full of emotion as well.

The Blower's Daughter (Damien Rice) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YXVMCHG-Nk
I think would be great. There were a few programs done to versions of this song before lyrics were allowed, but Damien Rice's voice is so emotional, it would add a lot of emotion to a program.

Samson (Regina Spektor) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p62rfWxs6a8
This would make an amazing program

Gravity (Sara Bareilles) -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEXhAMtbaec
Very tender song that has lots of range to it.

Baby I'm a Fool (or basically anything from Melody Gardot's My One and Only Thrill Album) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qphknagXqA
Edith Piaf-like

Breathe Me (Sia) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHyTSwyZ330
Sia has become very famous recently, but this early song from her is so powerful and tender at the same time.

Madness (Muse) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ek0SgwWmF9w

Settle Down (Kimbra) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHV04eSGzAA
I love the changes of rhythm in this song. I also love how kind of crazy it is. I think this could make an entertaining exhibition, possibly even a program.

I’d really like to see a program with some of the music from the Westworld soundtrack. The choreography could involve a “doll” slowly becoming human.

I know I have my usual recommendations of Yuki Kajiura, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Journey (the video game, not the band), Skyrim, and I'll come back and post links to individual pieces later but I came across this cover of Detroit: Become Human and omg I would LOVE to see a short program to this.

“Goddess of Fire” by Steven Reineke. This music is PERFECT for figure skating. I haven’t decided which skater it would fit best.

Everyone look up this music on YouTube right away and you’ll see what I mean!

Fargo, from the TV show, especially season 3. (On and off Youtube, sometimes blocked or removed)
Home Fires (ITV) soundtrack, also on YouTube
Les Choristes. (Used on the Russian age group competition last week, wonder why it wasn't used before)
