I am interested in how recent almost everyone is. I have one absolute favourite of all time - Kurt Browning.
If I do it by discipline, and do 2 per discipline
Men - Kurt Browning and Yagudin (with Buttle and Chan coming after)
Pairs - Mishkutenok (sp?) and Dmitriev; G and G
Dance - Torvill and Dean, V and M
Women - Midori Ito and Mao Asada (with Michelle Kwan following)
Looking at that I don't think I care whether it was IJS or 6.0 but I definitely tend toward earlier skaters; quite glad to see that when it comes to absolute favourites I don't really have a country bias

Favorite skater of all time - Rohene Ward. Even though he never achieved anywhere near his potential in competition, he was/is the purest angel of the ice I have ever seen.

I have all time favorites and I have current favorites. Current favorites for me are basically the ones I like the most out of the currently competitive ones, but they are not my all time favorites, because I liked some of the past skaters more... does it make sense?
Of course, some of your current favorites can easily be your all time favorites as well, but for me that's not always the case.
Example:
My all time favorite ladies skater is Michelle Kwan. My current favorite ladies skaters are Carolina Kostner, Ashley Wagner and Anastasiia Gubanova.
