Moa Iwano is 14, she was born in Seoul and represents Japan. She trains under coach Utako Nagamitsu, who is Daisuke Takahashi's coach.
Her idols are Yuna Kim, Mao Asada, Daisuke Takahashi and Javier Fernandez. She also expressed admiration for Satoko Miyahara when she saw her live at the olympics in Pyeongchang (she also trains at the same rink and with Satoko and the Hamada group).

She is one of the most beautiful interpret of music and performer I have ever seen and her Asturias short program (choreographed by Akiko Suzuki) is a masterpiece. She has been struggling with jumps (UR) last season on the junior GP and this season too but her spins and skating skills are gorgeous.

Thanks a lot for starting FF thread for Moa. :thank:

Agreed, daphenaxa. I've seen Moa's free skate at Jr J-Nats on TV last week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKUlPLYQtb0 She is soooooo lyrical :luv17:, and her skating is very mature for her age. I was blown away while watching and telling myself 'how can a 14yo girl interpret such difficult piece of the misic?! :hap36:'
Unfortunately she had a couple of UR calls and dropped 7th overall from 3rd in SP... but still a gorgeous skate it was. :yes: Moa tries to become the music itself the whole time, I'd say. No doubt her idols are Yuna, Mao and Daisuke, we can see some of their resemblance in her skating. What a great job done by Pasquale with choreographies. :clap: I look forward to seeing Moa at competitions and how she will grow as a skater from here. :)

Is there any chance Moa will be competing at J-Nats later this month? How many junior girls can advance to Senior Nats? Only top 6 finishers at Jr Nats like last season? If so, such a shame we don't see her there... She truly must have looked forward to being there with her current team mates; Sena, Keiji and Daisuke;;;

Jr. Nationals have already finished. She finished seventh, and thus will not be at Nationals.

Thanks, zanadude. Then seems the same as the last year, top 6 finishers at Junior Nats only... Sorry about it.

I've just updated Moa's OP. I've added all the results, programs, some articles and as many videos as I could find. Enjoy :)
