My skater is 12, landing doubles through double flip, tall but quite thin. Ice Fly has fit her well. I am in the unique position of having a pair of new Piano boots in her size, and her current boots are tight. What are your thoughts?

Pianos come up higher in the back and some people feel like that pushes them farther forward. She will need to try them on and see how they feel to her. Everyone is different.

That's interesting. I was more concerned about the increase from 90 to 95 stiffness, given that she is fairly light in weight. I hadn't heard about the pushing-forward aspect. I am of course loathe to attach the blades, which I would need to to for her to try them, because it would make them harder to sell if she doesn't like it. But it sounds necessary.

You could have her try on a brand new pair of Ice Flies (with no blades) and the Pianos immediately afterward so she could do an apples-to-apples comparison and see what feels different about the Pianos.
