Maria Evgenevna Kazakova (Russian: Мария Евгеньевна Казакова) and Georgy Noevich Reviya (Russian: Георгий Ноевич Ревия) are ice dancers representing Georgia. Maria was born on 15 July 2001 in Moscow, Russia. Georgy was born on 3 April 1999 in Odintsovo, Russia.

They teamed up in 2017. Earlier, Maria skated with Alexander Vaskovich. Georgy’s former partners were Ksenia Konkina and Eva Khatchaturian.

In their first season together, they won the 2018 Mentor Torun Cup and finished second in the Golden Spin of Zagreb (both as juniors). In the 2018/2019 season they won two silver medals in JGP events (JGP Czech Skate Ostrava and JGP Armenian Cup Yerevan), which gave them automatic qualification to the JGP Final in Vancouver. In November 2018 they won Volvo Open Cup in Riga. In the 2019/2020 season, they presented one of the most unique free dances of any team, senior or junior, won their first JGP event, Croatia Cup, and qualified for the Junior Grand Prix Final for a second time, and won the gold medal! They are the 2020 Junior World Championships silver medalists.

They did not compete during the 2020-21 season.

They are coached by Denis Samokhin and Maria Borovikova, and their choreographer is Nikolai Nikonov.

Maria and Georgy have qualified to JGP in Vancouver and have jut won the 37th Volvo Cup. Following dorispulaski's suggestion I have decided to open a thread for them. Enjoy it and comment a lot :)

So happy to see a thread for Kazakova and Reviya. :luv17:

I already liked them last year and I`m glad they managed to qualify for the JGPF in Vancouver. Good luck to them! :agree:

Definitely my favourite FD so far, junior or senior! They are brilliant, period. If Nathalie Pechalat and Piper Gilles had babies together, they would be Maria and Georgy

Third great junior FD of the season that I've seen. They just ran away with the JGP Croatia...deservedly so. Just one Pow! Wow! move after another with choreography that is first rate. I'm very impressed.

I belatedly discovered them only yesterday and I was blown away :eekn::luv17::cheer: I instantly became a fan!!!
That FD music seems nearly impossible for ice dancing, as Ted pointed out. But they just rocked it with one incredibly cool moves after another, with such charisma and conviction. They are definitely one of the IT dance teams to watch out for in coming season, if not THE!!!

Agree!!! Junior Ice Dance actually bored the heck out of me until I discovered these two [emoji28] I looove their programs this season. I really like the choice of music for their RD, and that’s rare, because I don’t like the theme this season

Yes, I enjoyed their RD too, and I feel the same about this season's RD theme... Grease, Fame, SNF, meh :noshake:
Nguyen & Kolesnik, whom I had noticed last season, has been my fav Jr. so far, but while they are more traditional/orthodox, Maria & Georgy has the potential to become the next Popova & Mozgov (but hopefully with more technical precision!), if their two programs for this season are any measure to go by!

#Maria and Georgy for the podium at Asian Open Trophy 2k19 [emoji41] They must have a senior level rhythm dance, then, and I bet that's confusing.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YESYESYESYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

They did it!! Gosh, where are the fans of these two? Their FD is really something else, so special, I pray they can keep this up and bring something new into Ice Dance. Not that I am bored with P/C, far from, but it's so great to see other couples bring something really different, have great personality and be able to translate that into a program.

I really really really want them to get gold at Worlds. And then come to seniors next year. No idea on what that all depends, and obviously they will not be happy with the competition there (the podium is already way too small for all the talent), but god, these are SOMETHING.

Congratulations for a marvellous competition!

I totally agree. Their FD is brilliant! I think part of that is because they're not trying to replicate anyone else's style, they're bringing their own style!

Huge congratulations to Maria and Georgy, I too hope they can replicate their result at Junior Worlds. :yahoo:

They got the loudest cheers in the Arena, by far. Even more than P/C iirc.

I was busy at Palavela cheering for them :hap10:
They were totally amazing, when they began ChChSS the whole arena started to be really into the program and they received really long ovation and way louder than it seemed on TV.
I hope people will enjoy their FD at ECh too!

I am so happy for their well deserved GPF gold. Rather surprised that this thread remains rather quiet, considering they are already making quite a splash among the skating/ice dancing fans among my own skating SN circle, which is quite global. They have that instant appeal, WOW factor and I am quite sure they will continue to grab more attention, especially at Euros that's coming up shortly. It will be exciting to witness this unique, charismatic pair develop and grow in coming years, and see how far they can go!
