Hi!

I've got new skates (Edea Chorus), and they're still in the break-in period.

Everything fits well, heel secured, minimal wiggle room. Right skate fits perfect, like i'm only wearing socks.

However, i feel some discomfort on my left feet in one particular spot. Its above my ankle, right exactly where the tongue meets the left side of the skate. The top layer of my skin has already came off here in 2 hours.

Do you know any tips/tricks to prevent blisters while i'm still breaking in the boots? Bunga pads are super expensive in my country, so they aint an option.

There is a cheaper alternative to Bunga pads, made by a company called Silipos. You can search "silipos gel ankle sleeves" in Amazon or a similar website and you can typically find a 10-inch sleeve for $16 USD. You can then cut the 10-inch sleeve into two 5-inch sleeves to wear over your ankles. I have these and they are identical to Bunga pads, just much cheaper as they are marketed for medical suppliers, not figure skaters.
