"Wo Yao Ni de Ai" from Crazy Rich Asians.

Some folk in the trades think they have answers but I think they are shootin' in the dark... ;)

I will be the guy at 4CCs walking around the concourse singing this song with his hands over his head with Mrs. P.....:agree:

That song from the Office always gets stuck in my head for days

You took me by the hand
You made me a man
That one night
You made everything all right
That one night
You made everything all right
So wrong so right all night all right
Oh yeah, oh yeah

Whee, a chance for me to plague other people with songs that never leave your head

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDg6-v9V8lo&t= This is the original song, but I was plagued by this ad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogAhXWZaAJQ

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8Yx9S2Izr4 The original 'Banned for Examinee students' song. There's even a 10 hour version of the refrain playing over and over, it just doesn't stop

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cs2xeDnj7To Another one that's on the 'Banned for Examinees' list, also has a 10 hour version.

I have more, but I have to spare your brains so I'll stop here

And now, another round of earworm-inducing songs!

https://youtu.be/ZM-aogMDP3s This ad is infamous, listen if you dare

https://youtu.be/nlt5Wa13fFU I can't find the ad so I'm linking the original song, it's famous but still

https://youtu.be/IHNzOHi8sJs Seems fine at first listen, but soon you find yourself humming "hit you with that dduru dduru dduru", guaranteed by yours truly.

https://youtu.be/BiorIyrjTHc This song needs no explanation, just take a listen.

You don't have to understand German to find this song infectious:

Schnappi - "Schnappi, Das Kleine Krokodil"

So cute!

And here is the follow-up:

Schnappi - "Ein Lama In Yokohama"

Unfortunately, I can't find a copy of the original video. There are edited copies of the video with remixes of the song on YouTube, but not the original version. So, I have linked to a lyrics video of the original song instead.

That is EVIL.

Two Aussie commercials I thought I'd share... the first from 2012
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJNR2EpS0jw

...went utterly viral, spawned so many takeoffs (I particularly liked the Walking Dead one) and 6 years later I can still sing it word for word....

Aaaand of course you may not immediately see why the Happy Little Vegemite song does it for the entire nation, but when you think that this little jingle has kept coming back since 1954 and pretty much every Australian knows it by heart (to the point where the words 'happy little vegemite' have entered the vernacular as slang) and sings along even when we don't mean to...

Dumb Ways to Die! My high school alumni (graduated about three years earlier than I did) also did a parody, it's famous among the small comunity that is our alumni. And now I'm humming it

Every year I have this stuck in my head for the whole of January, and usually into February as well:

Johann Strauss The Elder - "Radetzky March"

Needless to say how I spend my New Year's Day morning every year.

The video is from the 2019 edition of the New Year's Concert, when Christian Thielemann was conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

But, last night I was watching the recording of yesterday morning's ski jumping from Japan. And during the podium ceremony they played a tune that is more likely to get stuck in my head in September:

George Handel - "See, The Conqu'ring Hero Comes"

In the link I have used, it is played as part of Henry Wood's "Fantasia On British Sea Songs", which is performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the "Last Night Of The Proms" in September every year. The video is actually from a special Henry Wood themed Prom held 6 days before the Last Night in 2010, which is why the audience isn't quite as big or as rowdy as we are used to. Paul Daniel was conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra at this Prom.

The song that normally sticks in my head from the Fantasia, though, is this one:

Traditional - "The Sailor's Hornpipe (Jack's The Lad)"

And this is a close second (what a great title!):

Traditional - "The Saucy Arethusa"

Rather than just watching the tunes I have directly linked to, I would recommend watching the whole video of the Fantasia. It is well worth it! :agree:

And while you're at it, check out the other Last Night staple that ALWAYS gets stuck in my head:

Edward Elgar - "Pomp And Circumstance March Number 1 In D Major (Land Of Hope And Glory)"

This video is from the 2014 edition of the Last Night, when Sakari Oramo was conducting the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Enjoy!
