Well I sure hope they're not joining the high heel synthetic boot movement -_- My daughter skates in Riedells and I'm quite partial to her having leather freaking boots and a normal heel height.
I believe that they are coming out with a synthetic boot or hybrid version (I can't recall the exact composition).
I saw a prototype back in the fall.
As for heel height, they have the lowest heel stock height of all the brands which may cause issues for some skaters (too 'far back' on the heel would be the complaint).
You can also request semi-custom heel height changes (most go with 1/8" to 1/4" higher than stock) and dancers their heel height may be even higher.
