Eliska Brezinova

Eliška Březinová is a Czech figure skater. She was born on 19 February 1996 in Brno.

She is the 2019 EduSport Trophy champion, the 2014 New Year's Cup champion, the 2015 Santa Claus Cup champion, and a eight-time Czech national champion (2012, 2014–2016, 2018, 2019, 2022). She has competed in the final segment at seven ISU Championships.

Brezinova is the younger sister of Czech single skater Michal Brezina, who competes at the World level.

She is coached by Rudolf Brezina, her father, Misha Ge, and Josef Sabovcik.

I haven't seen Eliska's thread in the Ladies' Index, so I hope there doesn't exist one hidden among the thick forest of ladies' fan fests.

Tomorrow Eliska will start competing at the Universiade and I thought a skater who has been so many years on the figure skating scene, and additionally is the sister of one of the most handsome male skaters , deserved her own thread. Tomorrow I'll try to complete the OP, but you can already start commenting.

She will take part in the show Fire on Ice, where Jozef Sabovčík will say goodbye to his career. It takes place on 6th november in Ostrava. Eliška is hoping that such event will bring the attention of more boys and girls to figure skating. Jozes Sabovčík is one of her coaches and she always fees huge support from him.

Mostly general questions about sport and other things (the host obviously doesn't know much about figure skating), but Eliška is nice and likeable there. She also mentiones that she would like to qualify for the olympics, which she missed so far.

BTW Eliška tried 3A during the czech test skates. She fell but thumbs up for the courage.

She withdrew from the Estonia event this week and the Challenge Cup next week.

Hope it’s not injury related. She took a few bad falls last week. The first one looked nasty.

She has qualified for the 2022 Olympics !

Not what we've been wishing for, but the SP was exceptionally well. I hope at the olympics it will go much better.

Eliška says she can't precisely identify what caused the problems in the free skate. She said she wasn't tired, injured or afraid, didn't change anything in the plan. Just that her second jumping pass was planned as 2A+3T but she did only 2T instead and knew that she was planning two 2Ts further in the program, so she started to think too much and lost the focus.
