Title says it all!

Please feel free to share links from credible sources (i.e. news, official and or personal social media, federation announcements, etc.)

I wince at being the one to set up such a thread, but there have been a few retirements already and I think it would be good to keep track of them this way, as the less famous skaters usually don't have a thread in the Edge when they quit skating. I intend to keep updating the OP throughout the season.

Confirmed retirements up till now:

Javier Fernandez
Maxim Kovtun
Alexander Majorov
Phillip Harris
Jorik Hendricx
Hiroaki Sato

Ladies:
Kaetlyn Osmond
Adelina Sotnikova
Anna Pogorilaya
Polina Tsurskaya
SoYoun Park
Brooklee Han
Larkyn Austman

Dance:
Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir
Ekaterina Bobrova
Betina Popova/Sergei Mozgov
Alla Loboda

Chris Knierim
Charlie Bilodeau

Unconfirmed retirements:

Ashley Wagner
Mirai Nagasu
Carolina Kostner
Elena Radionova
the Shibutanis
Savchenko/Massot, I think there's no way either is coming back now
Alisa Efimova
Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya

Russian junior pairs Labazina/Rakhmanin split up, and so did Atakhanova/Volodin (Amina Atakhanova apparently retired because of long-term reoccurring injury). Labazina was said to be trying out with Volodin but no news how it is going and whether they will skate together.

Russian junior pair Kvartalova/Sviatchenko split up. He already has a new partner, she is still on Russian ice partner search.

I read on FSU that there's a rumor that DelCamp/Somerville and Green/Parson have teamed up :scratch2:

Nooo :sad4: I was a fan of Miu and Ryuichi. I am glad I got to see them live at Finlandia. I wish I could have gone to them, tell them I liked them and asked for a photo and sig, but I was too busy trying to relocate from the practice rink (men) to the main one (pairs) and back again to manage that. Hopefully Ryuichi recovers and they both form new pairs! This is a sad period for Japanese pairs and ice dance as there are so few teams, and each split is a considerable loss.

- Nika Daineko & Leonid Okin (Russia) - she's listed

:bang: :bang: :bang:

Although, I had a feeling that something was up because both partnerships representing Cyprus were competing pretty much continuously for the first half of the season, and then it was just Kudriavtseva / Karankevich competing continuously in the second half of the season.

Such a shame, because I was looking forward to see how both of the partnerships got on in Juniors next season.

I wish Maria and Nikita all the best for the future.

Usually my source is IcePartnerSearch, but it happens that skaters create a profile but finally stay with their previous partner. I edit the list!

Thanks. But neither were on IcePartner Search nor was there any split of any kind. There is a Zachary Freedman on there so perhaps mistaken identity (I had to take a double take initially too).
