Gary Beacom did a great Devil Went Down to Georgia with Kurt Browning in Tall in the Saddle. I haven't seen it in years but still remember it

Does Alexander Samarin's Dave Not Dave count?

There's another possibility depending on how things go, but I can't say without giving spoilers or knowing more details...

well, Alëna's Bella could be considered a villain program, since many consider Bella pretty horrible person... :p

Philippe Candeloro's two Godfather Programmes (an SP and an LP). That man was a true performer, storyteller and actor (after all, he also was d'Artagnan - a good guy - in his 1998 Free Programme).

The only real villain on ice is:

Mel Brooks makes the point that villainy is not that appropriate on ice.

Ice dance has some programs that aimed at villainy. Here are some I recall:

The Duchesnay's Tango 1988 - He is a very nasty, abusive pimp
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMFxoLjFJr0

Delobel & Schoenfelder
2006 Bonnie & Clyde - clearly villains
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LToZYvF1jQ

Chock and Bates
2019 Assassin's Tango as an EX at Mentor Torun Cup. They are desperately attracted to each other, but each is also trying to assassinate the other. Are they villains or heroes? They got the villainy out front in the EX Version.

Is Carmen a villainess if done right? Who better as Carmen as a villainess than Krylova ( with Ovsiannakov)?

Rahkamo & Kokko
The Apache - she is a prostitute, he is a street thug

But then there's Touch of Evil which was in my opinion much more dramatic and the atmosphere was villian-like and mysterious

Good one! That program of Javi's must be on the top of my villain program list. I had goosebumps watching him skate to it.

... a Disney villain like Ursula (Poor unfortunate souls would be a great peace to skate on)...

I am trying to picture the costume. :)

I always felt that hat Cruella De Vil had possibilities, and she even has her own title song.

I wouldn't mind (for children) if someone took on the Grinch.

2. Bad guys can be happy:biggrin: In fact, for me, channelling a sensitive or fun villain is far more interesting than moping around the ice with murderous intent. But maybe you feel differently? Do you have a program that shows that?

I have to nominate Mikhail Kolyada's Baba Yaga gala for this category. Super fun! :D

And I'd add Akiko Suzuki's Kill Bill to my list, but haven't really seen the movie so hard for me to tell if the main character qualifies as a villain.

Is the Phantom of the Opera a villain?

he is

On a side note (but apropos :)): today I was listening to the "Dune" OST (1984, by David Lynch) and my attention caught... Baron Harkonnen motive. Great piece of music, however I don't think anybody could portrey Baron Harkonnen on ice  The same with Lord Vader, unfortunately...

Dracula (Electra Blue already mentioned Bychenko's FP) is only one of vampires that have nice music in the background, take Volturi from "Twilight" for example (but Alena is going to be Bella instead...). Joker (or Partyman) from "Batman" (unforgettable OST by Prince), Kylo Ren from "Star Wars", Khan from "Star Treck", Moriarty (or Irene Adler, or Eurus) from "Sherlock" BBC, Lady Macbeth, Heatcliff from "Wuthering Heights", Cardinal Richelieu from the "Musketeers", the Master from "Doctor Who", Sheriff of Nottingham from "Robin Hood", Jack Randall from "Outlander" (OK, that would be too much ) - there are so many juicy villains associated with beautiful music ready to be used in figure skating ;).
Katherine from Wuthering Heights is a villain too (in my opinion even more than Heatcliff) and we have a perfectly skateble song for her

Richelieu or The Master would be great characters!

What about operatic villains? There are some good ones out there.

the queen of the night! or Azucena from Il Trovatore

Boo! Hiss! to the concept of cheerful villains.

I want somebody to portray Charles Manson or Brutus' stabbing Julius Caesar or something similarly sinister.

The program concepts are getting boring. Where's the imagination? The daring? Time to shake things up!

i quote you with my blood  but i'd stick with fictional characters though, you know, a real life modern serial killer could be too much controversial or felt as disrespectfull towards the victims and their families , but no problem with Brutus or Caligula or Nero  bring it on!

well, Alëna's Bella could be considered a villain program, since many consider Bella pretty horrible person... :p

you need to have a personality to be an horrible person, so bella doesn't fit, sorry

I am trying to picture the costume. :)

Vanessa Gusmeroli as a jewel thief - she really commits to the choreography, and there's sirens and a police chase at the end. It's not my favorite program, even among her own, but she did a good job. NOBODY ELSE did the split she was able to do where she goes down and gets back up from the same position! Interesting moves and choreography, and so unhurried that she has a lot of time to telegraph her jumps and still fit in all the choreography. :p The 6.0 system in a nutshell!

To me, any character-driven program is a touch and go proposition. In Jason Brown's "Room Where it Happens" is his opening triple Axel combination done as Aaron Burr might do a triple Axel, or is it more like an Alexander Hamilton triple Axel, or Paul Revere?

Most Elvis acts are more Stojko than Presley, no matter how shook up the performer tries to be.

That said, Jason does a super job of suggesting a sneaky politician with the choreography. (Plus the Revolutionary War ponytail of course.)

Also, the choreography in Rudy Galindo's Swan Lake is pretty good in the evil-spell-casting department. (Then he starts blowing kisses at the judges. But who can blame him after that tour-de-force. :) )

Soon we can be able to see Trusova's Daenerys program.. so, yeah

Shhhhhhhh, those are the spoilers I meant! And there's still next week's episode. We still don't know how Daenerys's coin has landed, to paraphrase Varys.
