Les Miserables. When done well with proper music cuts and attention to detail, it is a fantastic program. I wish more skaters would choose from other parts of the musical however - there are many themes one could use!

POTO, Tosca, Romeo and Juliet, Carmen (but depends on the music choice), Memoirs of a Geisha (is it a warhorse?), Sheherazade, Swan Lake, Danse Macabre, Exogenesis Pt. 3 (warhorse status?), Clair de Lune and everything by Debussy, Experience, Bells of Moscow, Rach 2, Turnadot, Cinderella, Schindler's List.

I love most warhorses, however, it often depends on the music/singer/componist that was choosen for the program if I like it or not.

I think the only warhorse I am starting to hate are tangos by Astor P. There were just too many the past few seasons.

Anastasia Tarakanova.

(I like Moonlight Sonata BTW.)

Thank you! :) I really like her skating so I'm gonna go watch the program

I mean to each their own but to me Moonlight Sonata is just boring for the most part.. but I also have a background in classic music so there are quite a few pieces I don't like, like everything from Johan Strauss, haha

I like In This Shirt, which I think is becoming a warhorse.

Sorry, I can't stand Bolero. It's like Pachelbel's Canon in D, just gives me hives and ptsd when I hear it.

Are these warhorses? If so i would love to see more programs skating to them:
Lady Caliph
Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini
Franz Liszt Liebestraum
Nostalgia

I actually like most of the warhorses, especially when it comes to classical music, I love them all and I'm not tired of listening to them.

I am however tired of the general lack of originality and creativity in the figure skating world, where people keep skating to a few popular pieces over and over without any apparent point.

I Put A Spell on You
Dream of Love - Traumerei
Carmen done by single men, esp like Evan Lysacek's Lori Nichol program

Warhorses are warhorses for good reason: because the music and composition offer so many moods, and because powerful emotion in the music is a great help to figure skaters. And to their audiences. Also because complexity allows skaters to live with their music for a whole year.

I'll (almost!) never complain about skaters choosing a warhorse, because it all depends on how they're able to access and interpret the nuances. It's individual, and because individuals are like snowflakes, you could say there's infinite variation possible.

Turandot and Swan Lake. Sleeping Beauty. Carmen doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out.

I'm a fan of almost all opera arias & ballet music (especially Don Quixote) but also Broadway hits & "Queen hits".
