Yuna Shiraiwa may attempt a 3A tomorrow in the free skate. She is currently training her 3A to get it ready for the GP season. She is also still training her 4S. Yuna has been taking dance classes to improve her flexibility
https://twitter.com/figureskatingm1/status/1160409851475795970?s=20

Minor nitpick: not her flexibility, but to relax her body more and fix her tendency to tense up and put too much strength behind her movements. I think so far she's succeeding! I adore her but she did have a tendency to tense up going into her jumps and between her combination jumps, and "effortless" is a big criteria of both GOE and PCS.

Beautiful short program Yuna!!!! I love it! I think she is improving a lot from last season, better transitions, more skating skills, difficult entries, more interpretation, performance, better spins, better step sequence, better jumps, what a surprise!! good luck in the free skate Yuna! I know you has training the triple axel and quadruple salchaw for a long time and now you have the objetive to acomplish the triple axel in competition the next season, that makes me proud of you! Go Yuna! you can do it! I'm one of your best fans!  :cheer: :2thumbs: :thank: :gclap: :clapper: :hap10:  :luv17:

What happened to Mako? Is everything okay?
Or is she skating a weaker content just because it's still summer and she doesn't want to waste too much energy there?

edit: just read the previous page... wishing her a speedy recovery, hope everything will be okay soon.
Please get better, dear Mako.

Completely agree! Yuna's new SP is simply wonderful. She really is improving a lot. Loved her happy face throughout the whole program, she seems to really enjoy it.

Rough skate for Kaori, but I'm not surprised, she's a slow starter and progresses as the season goes on (same thing happened at last year's Summer Cup).

Could this be Yuna’s breakout season? She has improved so much. I love her new SP 😍 I hope she can stay consistent (and avoid URs) because her PCS should be reflecting her huge improvements. She is my dark horse pick for sure!

Sorry I couldn't update the results of Jr. ladies' from Kanto summer Trophy, as there was error in the protocol page

Final results:
1. Shika Yoshioka 169.26
2. Tomoe Kawabata 161.69

FS protocol

I don't think Shika was among the skaters participated in JSF summer camp for Jr. lades. This may be because of limited attendance of competitions in the 2nd half of the season last year (the reason was mainly injury?) But it's good that she's recovering gradually now. And good luck to Tomoe to her JGP!

Jr. ladies' SP results (unofficial):
Shiika Yoshioka 3Lz-3T 3L//2A 61.98
Yuna Aoki 3Lz-2T 2A// 3Lo 59.42
Tomoe Kawabata 2A 3LZ-3T fall// 3L 51.06

*Yuna will WD from FS, as announced after SP
