Thanks for sharing, cohkaix! I had no idea this competition even existed. Do you know if boys participated as well? I wonder who won, what with Tatsuya injured.
ETA, this article lists the gents' event results as well: https://www.chunichi.co.jp/chuspo/article/figure/news/CK2019070802000219.html Looks like Ryuju won Sr men with about 208 total score (he's coming back! *relief*) and there seem to be only two guys competing. There were juniors as well but I cannot recognize any of the names but Ryuju's (I think the other Sr boy is Kotaro Takeuchi but not sure) - help appreciated.
Sorry to bring this here into the ladies' thread but the Japanese boys don't have a thread of their own yet for 2019/20.

Any evidence to support this plan? She needs super fast rotation to land 3A. Unless someone from "group B": Mai, Yuna, Wakaba, Mako, and Marin surprise us, Satoko looks solid as number 3 and on a good day even number 2 Japanese lady without changing anything. Why would she put at risk her famous consistency? Does she still hope to get on the worlds' top despite ever increasing competition and is she going for big prizes even if it means the risk of meltdowns that can bury her reputation?

Good for Miyahara - the 3A is smart as it can be used in the short program. Of course she needs it to be consistent It's worth over 4.5 more pts than a double axel at BV not even considering GOE.

Adding: it looks like Shoma has returned to Japan and has undergone interview...possibly also at Chukyo U. Perhaps he's also back for the camp? It's not for sure at the moment but there's possibility that more skaters may join the camp later on.

No Ayaka Hosoda? Well, Kihira isn't there either, so I guess it's not a necessity. But why is Marin there?

The summer camp is mainly for GP skaters. So it makes sense that Marin is there while Ayaka is not. Not sure about why Rika is not there.

According to this interview from the summer camp, Kaori's new FS is to "Matrix", choreographed by Richaud.

This is going to be interesting

Marin says she talked with Rafael, and she hopes to spend a half training time in US with Rafael and work with Takeshi Honda in another half in Japan (she says she can understand Takeshi easier because she can communicate in the same language) Her main coach is still Rafael.
