True but that doesn't make their situation any better. One would hope they had a double axel and triple toe or salchow once they hit seniors.

have you watched them? do you know their history? they never "hit seniors" they always were. To me, they were the next big pairs team when they got together a couple years ago... however, though they have the best twist in canada right now and great lifts, they struggle on throws and jumps... until CQÉ, i still had high hopes for them but seeing them live for me ruined the spell as I didn't "feel" them.. and that disappointed me a lot... I am writing this out because your info is not accurate... they never were juniors.... it is essential to understand this team as Justine decided to team up with Bardei, knowing that it would end her junior career.... and that's a huge deal in the sense that she's had to grow up faster than some others...until this weekend, I was very forgiving because of all the potential... potential which is still there by the way... but i got discouraged when i didn't feel any joy and enthusiasm in their skating... which I could feel in most of the other pairs... potential is one thing... joy in the work is another thing... without both, i don't think they can fix their issues... and that's why I don't personally believe anymore.. but you will see... most pairs fans in canada are strongly believing in this team and i hope they prove me wrong

For those you who didn't check the Quebec Summer Championships thread, I'm finally active again on this forum after going "missing" for several months. To make a long story short, I did finally get the operation that I needed for my life-threatening condition, so I'm no longer in danger of dying, but my recovery isn't going as well as hoped, so if my current symptoms don't improve after a certain amount of time, I may have to undergo another medical procedure. :eek:hwell:

In continuation of the trend of Canadian men's singles skaters being so darn TALL, William St‐Louis, the Junior Men silver medallist at this event, is noticeably taller than Nicolas Nadeau, and he's probably around 190 cm. Markell is now officially part of the 6-feet club (he grew about an inch the last time I saw him 20 months ago), and he confirms that this is his height in my "Saturday - Part 2" post. Phan is also taller by an inch compared to last year, so he's now 5'11". I'm quite short, so Matt and Jo have to lean down a lot to be able to hear my voice, lol. :p

In case anyone was curious, my new avatar is Phan's peace sign and gold medal from my (super adorable! ) photo with him.

When you hadn’t posted for a long while I was rather concerned that the worst had happened, so I’m happy that’s not the case.

Thanks for your concern, Colonel Green. :) Before the operation, I still had trips to the ER, so it was definitely touch-and-go there for a while, but fortunately, that particular nightmare is over. I still have rough days, which is why I wasn't able to make any screen recordings for Minto (and I'm not sure if I'll have the energy to do so for North York), but relatively speaking, my health is better now.

Coming out of North York, we finally got to see Natalie and Bruce, and I got to see Irina and Grayson at last (I missed their Minto performance because I had theatre tickets, and we didn't known at the time that there'd be no archiving of the streams; and their Lake Placid RD never made it online):

1. D'Alessandro/Waddell RD
2. Bashynska/Beaumont RD (this we've seen multiple times, but they're in second after the RD, and this is better video quality than that poor Lake Placid stream)
3. Galiyanova/Lochhead RD
4. McIsaac/Circelli RD (not their day)
5. Kagolovskaya/MacDonald RD

Having seen all the junior RDs at this point, I think Emmy & Aissa have the best program. Nadiia & Peter have the best pattern at the moment, at least to the eye.

I put Conrad, Keegan and Nam’s short programs up here:

https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqfUaz1DJ808hqiQusk2EhmMUXtrrnRVd

I started one for the pairs, but then Charlottetown got hit with a blackout, so that will have to wait.

But for the time being, sufficed to say, Brooke and Brandon’s triple twist is kind of astounding.

The men looking good for early in the season, it's too bad Keegan and Nam will have to go against each other (and others) for that one worlds spot!!!

Wow that is a great twist! This music is making me miss Julianne and Charlie more now!

Thanks to all who has posted links! I like Nam’s and Keegan’s programs, all four. Keegans free skate = goose bumps. Going to watch others later.

I can totally picture a Guns 'N Roses vs. Beatles showdown at Nationals. Both are surefire crowd-pleasers! :hap10:

Agree, really looking forward to seeing them challenge each other for the world spot.

LOL, is knee slide a thing this season? Tip to those who like drinking games….
