Both Emily and Madeline are now listed for the senior event at Challenge Cup.

I have two views - I wish them well but really I might say you pay to go yourself at this point because I wouldn't want them also tired oout after fighting to get on the team. I honeslty have no idea what is going with Gabby but I would send her too and let them duke it out. But really the ladies are kind of a write off whoever they send. The real question is are the danadians healthy and ready to go to worlds. He was on crutches three weeks ago. With the Brits, Spain, USA 1, 2 and 3, Russia 1, 2 and maybe even 3; France, Italy and G and P it would be tough for Lsquared to help earn three spots even if GP were rewarded with a bronze.

Here's my link of a 5-minute "Skating Through Time" fluff where Piper & Paul reminisce about their career (1080p): https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7rq2pt

I was told by my pal who lives in the Netherlands that he's geoblocked from the original video: https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/1695105603877

Since it was published on Feb. 7, presumably it was used to promote 4CC.

Oh I loved this! Random observation: Paul is really channeling BOrser’s hairstyle back in the 1980s.

Good luck to all the juniors, and I am glad to hear Gogolev is well enough to compete.

Sad that we won't see Ilyuschekina/Bilodeau and Sourcisse/Firus at World's but I understand the decision to send others. I hope I/B keep their LP for next year. S/F may need a more lyrical tempo for next year to help control the mistakes.

I know Lubov and Charlie were attempting in their LP to appeal to a Quebec crowd and Charlie has ever reason to be proud of his roots. However for me, it missed the mark as it did not work as a Pairs skate. I hope they come back with new material next season.

I'm sorry to hear that Keegan was not named to the world team. I know he's had a rough time recently with his brother's death. I can understand why Nguyen was selected to be the one man on the Canadian team.

Keegan has family responsibilities that no doubt conflict with training time. He has recently married, and I'm sure he wants to spend has much time as he can with his brother's children.

They will be interesting to see the progression. Their same body builds are not common in the pair world.

not sure what you mean balloon... benjamin is slender for a pairs guy but he is still 190cm... accordingly to his ISU bio, which is a whopping 10cms taller than brandon was...

Brooke is recorded at only 150cm.. but she does indeed appear a bit taller....

slender for mimar at age 19 is nothing unusual... he probably recently finished growing and can now fill up...

I just meant that Canadian pairs teams right now are not with similar matched with builds.
A lot are totally opposite.
Ben will fill out, and Brooke more then likely grow more and then full out, but at the moment they both have long lean limbs, and I can’t think of a team with similar builds, it’ll be interesting to watch them build as a team.
I wasn’t meaning nothing more.
They definitely have technical elements, so they have an upper hand from other junior teams. I except a lot of growth in juniors this season, and enjoyed watching them all this year.

I loved Brooke and Brandon, but I was shocked reading that he has retired. They were quite successful and boom, they split. The last competition must have been at the Youth Olympics. What happened?

He wanted to peruse his studies.

I was shocked to see that starting order too. At least Emily skates before Rika, not after!!

I'm sorry but that's ridiculous that someone as high in the World rankings as Rika is skating not only in the first group but 2nd overall.
