All incredible programs that often get overlooked or not enough praise imo.

Bestmaniova and Bukin's "Carmen" is very much appreciated and also quite famous. During a media seminar in college this program was showed to students for discussion and we were all amazed by the unison. We did an analysis on it. Also we debated Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake and "Amadeus" directed by Milos Forman. I was fascinated by all of them:)

Ararat is Jeffry Buttle's most famous program. He won the World Championship with it.

Really? because I had never seen or heard of it until i stumbled upon it myself and no one brought it up in any favorite program threads anywhere and when talking about iconic programs no one has brought it up either and when i looked at the comment section all the comments were in Russian so i thought it was only a huge program nationally.

I just love Keegan's 2018 Canadian Nats peformance, the 3A RIGHT on the music in the later half of the program keeps me alive

Also Sota Yamamoto's programs this year were among the top of the entire field IMO (which my opinion is always the right one to have so  )

edit: sorry i didnt realize this wasnt a thread for listing your favorite underappreciated programs but let's make it into one?

Mao Asada’s Bells of Moscow. At the time, many did not like this choice; however, I feel that over time this program has “aged well” and become one of her iconic programs.

Yulia lipnitskaya's R&J2 I loved this program despite the struggle she had with it through most of the season, and also Megapolis.

Really :) I mean it's pretty old, I don't know the average age of posters here, but in most cases I saw people in threads offering recent mentions, like after '90 (there are also exceptions). In my contry it was common that when a certain skater did Carmen, the TV commentator brought up Katarina Witt, Plusenko, Bestemianova and Bukin to present exemples of iconic programs.

Evgenia's OCS SP from last season. I loved it in practice (like in this video or during practice at ACI). Wish she could have performed it to its full potential in competition, but it probably was too much new stuff all at once. I just love this jazzy, funny, pizzazz type of program.

This program was so fun when she was in the right mood. However, in the french GP for some reason it really didn't work for her. I still hope she brings it back at least as a gala program.

I fell in love with it the first time I saw it - at test skates. I felt like she had all it takes to perform such a program. She was sassy, flirty and just had fun. But I agree that it was all too much and too many changes at once. In a season where you‘re struggling already... it just didn‘t work out and her performance in GP France made it look like she couldn‘t do such a program at all which I found sad. I hope she brings it back one day as a gala piece.

It was the right program at the wrong time. I am still hoping (against hope) that this gets resurrected at some point, perhaps as an exhibition program.

WeaPo’s “This Bitter Earth” 2015-2016 free dance. I can only speculate on this, but by the time 2016’s Worlds came along, Tessa and Scott has announced the end of their hiatus for the upcoming two seasons. I think the writing was on the wall at this point, even though W/P didn’t skate this program particularly well at worlds. What made it more “bitter” sweet to me is the fact that, along with being rivals on the ice, both teams were (and still are) close friends with one another, Tessa and Kaitlyn especially.

Gilles and Poirier’s 2015-2016 free dance. The music was a compilation of a few different folk songs, none of which I can remember by name at the moment. This was back when G/P were frequently accused of “trying too hard to be quirky and different.” Groan. Meanwhile, I had my fangirling turned up to eleven for that program:

Kaetlyn Osmond’s Fosse/Sweet Charity short program:

(On that note, I have to give a dishonourable shoutout to Canadian journalist, Rosie Dimmano, for writing an Op-Ed that basically accused the then-17 year old KO of skating like a promiscuous harlot. :rolleye: Actually, I believe Dimmano used much more derogatory terminology in her article, some of which may not be appropriate for GoldenSkate’s rules, regarding the use of non-family-friendly language. Meanwhile, it was glaringly obvious that she’s never watched Bob Fosse’s acclaimed choreography to “Rich Man’s Frug,” which KO absolutely nailed; with the help of Lance Vipond’s spot-on choreography, of course.

Julia Lipnitskaya‘s 2014-15 Elvis short program, especially at the start of the season, when she wore the multicoloured tye-dyed dress:

Come at me, bros. You can all fight me over this one, because as I recall, that dress seemed to be universally panned around here.
