They did well at lombardia (although of course a fall in the RD wasn't what they wanted to show!), especially in the Free Dance. I was quite impressed, even if obviously the connection is not as yet good enough. This will grow, as they seem to like each other and the age difference will become relatively less important in time.

I really liked both their programs a lot--the short is totally fun. Will be brilliant when skated without a freak fall. I look forward to seeing them in the coming years.

Loved their programs at Lombardia. Very impressed with how well they are doing just a few months into their partnership. I think we have a lot of great things coming from this team! They are so strong technically, and perfectly matched. Wow.

Great team. Loved the Long. But, I think they need to rework their RD. The music in the RD is unforgivable for a team with this age difference in current skating environment. Michael is an adult, she is still a child. You don't have then skate to music like that. What were their coaches thinking?

I thought the melody was fun but the lyrics absolutely awful. Although for me it's way less offensive than Trusova's Big Spender nonsense. The age difference have always been there in dance and in pairs (Gordeeva and Grinkov, and so many others--Oleg with his partners 10+ years younger???). They grew up in the same rink and are good friends. It's a much healthier situation than many other pairings.

Two great back to back skates this week and last at Skate America and Skate Canada. It must be hard to do two back to back like that, but they came through with four good clean skates and I loved their FD today at Skate Canada especially. I think they are getting better every outing, though not sure the scores are showing it yet. Loved watching this new team develop this season and love their speed and attack. They seemed much faster than most of the teams in their group and are already much improved from just a few weeks ago at Lombardia. Once they clean up a few minor mistakes, I think these programs will be great vehicles to show them off. They are definitely a team to watch.

Just found this fun post from Project Runway's Nick Verreos on Caroline & Michael's constumes, which he called out as a highlight at Skate America. He said: "I absolutely loved these costumes for their Free Dance; her deep red velvet dress was reptilian fab and so Skate Couture and I really liked how his black stretch velvet top mirrored the pointed details seen in her costume. These were outstanding for sure!" I agree, love both costumes this year.

Agreed! I particularly like their FD and think they show a great deal of technical skill and maturity for a team together for less than a year. I am wondering what the judges are missing but, sadly, in ice dance it seems you have to pay your dues before you are recognized.

Here are the results from Zagreb in the Rhythm Dance. Caroline & Michael skated great and are now in 4th, with a new seasons best I think. Nice job by Lorraine & Quinn too. Couldn't find the video but if someone can that would be great before tomorrow's FD.

Another medal for G/P in Zagreb, and wow, they bested their previous personal best by about 14 points. This team is on a great track! Can't wait to see them in Nationals. Here are the final results from Golden Spin in ice dance.

Great skate at Nationals in the Rhythm Dance, not quite a seasons best in the scoring, but I think it was their best skate yet this year. 77.42 in the RD puts them in 5th place. Love where this team is headed. Good article on NBC Olympics website: Green Parsons story

Caroline and Michael were smashing today. Just stunning.

I love how with their free dance, they've gone the opposite way. The music! So magnificent. And they skated so beautifully to it, going for the slow and dramatic (when so many ice dancers go for quick and light).

I admired them before. Now they've hooked me as a fan. They have everything: Skill, style and substance. ❤️
